FlagDUDE's Second Personal Rule of the Internet: I will never join Twitter.

Now I'm curious. What are the other rules?

/doesn't use Twitter after the O'Hare Christmas Meltdown of Aught-Nine and besides, he has Facebook

Those people.....ugh.

Or the ones that insist on the clerk checking their lotto numbers. How hard is it to match numbers in the newspaper or online?!
Or just use the little scanner deal that you can slide the ticket under and have it figure it out if its a winner or not.

I don't think Babe Inge is going to be on the roster.
Send him to Toledo, let him help coach the kids there up right. They're not going to be headed for the show for a while.

Well I emptied all of the cabinets and countertops in my kitchen and bathroom because the exterminator is coming to my building today. My back is hurting. :(

Oh, and simultaneously the water has been cut off today. :( :(
Go find a place to get a shower, and then go get a massage.

Slow morning here at Balance. Did just Rock the Boss's world.

Get your minds out of the gutter!!! Just gave her a hot stone massage. :D

FlagDUDE's Four Personal Rules of the Internet:

1. I will never join MySpace. (defunct)
2. I will never join Twitter.
3. I will never play World of Warcraft.
4. I will never friend my mother on Facebook.

Tornado watches all around Houston this afternoon, some good thunderboomers going on here. Saweeeeet! Good thing I'm not outside today (or driving, it's really coming down again today).

Guilty of 1 back in college, but defunct. Guilty of 2, but again don't use it any more (might start again the way Facebook is getting all MySpace-y, though.) Follow 3 (have seen that game singlehandedly fail people out of Tech.) Guilty of 4.

My rules:
1) No WoW or any other MMORPG
2) Don't bother with Twitter (under review)
3) No talking about work on Facebook
4) No spamming people's Facebook walls with the fact that I had a ham sandwich for lunch, or those meme-y "I believe in Jesus/America/puppies/babies/Tim Tebow/Obama/the troops/cancer patients/John Cena" pictures
5) No visiting That Website Which Must Not Be Named (hint: Quattro Jackie)
6) Firefox, ZoneAlarm, Avast!, AdBlock, NoScript, and Hosts file update before I touch the Internet on a new computer, without fail

Good Evening, Lodge!

I find it really funny that I keep getting a job offer for a place in Michigan. I am not moving to Sterling Heights. Hopefully, I can get freelancing gigs from them.

So another shake up at work today...the shipping/warehouse manager was let go. About time! He was worthless. We are currently looking for a data entry/customer service person to fill the shoes for my co-worker that is leaving. Let me know if you are interested.

What sort of work in Sterling Heights? I know a few people that would be interested in actually working there, lol.

Also, the data entry/customer service thing sounds deadly dull, but I'd be interested in hearing more about it. :o

It would be working in the ad specialty/promotional products industry. It really is not that dull. You would be working with me! :D The position is here in Eagan. Majority of the job is customer service (which is my main position), and updating the website and other sites. I can put in a really good word for you.

I was offered the Sterling Heights position through my current job. They want to steal me. It is on the distributor side of the promotional products industry. I know they are looking for a graphics/ordering/sales/overall know-it-all of the industry.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 143: A Golden ;) Oldie

I've heard of ZoneAlarm and Avast, but they usually clashed with what I had on my comp, or they didn't allow sites I wanted allowed for whatever inane reason. Of course, that was probably due to a 1D-10-T error.....

Sterling Heights is where my in-laws live.
And, last I knew, so does RobGreen.

I'd almost be interested but, I've got something in the works that I need to let play out. Besides, I'm guessing BPH needs the job more than I do at this point.

And we'll trade you for BPH. No offense, BPH, but she's MEL!

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 143: A Golden ;) Oldie

I quit bothering with firewalls and that crap years ago - just like the airport security zone, it's all a big show to a home user. If hackers want into your system, ZoneAlarm and Symantec's "Norton" bloatware garbage aren't going to stop them unless they truly have no idea what they're doing. Plus, as Brent's experience shows, such programs are also way too stupid, and frequently flag legitimate traffic.
