Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 136: Again?

Rainy and 55.

I would just like to point out that the all-time record high for Anchorage, Alaska is a mere 92.

That is all.

It also has a record low of -38. Thanks, I'll pass.

Seattle weather (excluding the lack of direct sunlight), I've acutally come to miss.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 136: Again?

Odds of a power outage of some duration feel pretty high right now. I have every light off so I can run my AC and PC in hopes others aren't running 50 things in my complex.

Not looking forward to heading home tonight. The apartment isn't insulated too well so during these extreme high temp days the AC seems to be running constantly. Last night, it wasn't until after midnight when the blower finally stopped because the temperature had finally come down in the apartment to where the thermostat was set.

I'm thinking tonight may be a date night for dinner and a movie somewhere. :D
Good plan!! Hell, take out somewhere you'll feel like sitting down for a while.

Just got a reprieve from the fun I was going to have tonight. Doesn't look like he'll have the hay ready til tomorrow, which is going to work out better for me anyways. Other than it's going to be even hotter tomorrow. At least I do get to work in AC. ;)

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 136: Again?

Sometimes it's cool to have an old house. The last two days it hasn't been. :)

Speaking of meat coma, the boss & I are planning to take the lad (and lass) to Manny's soon for a celebration dinner for his birthday & graduation. Never been there, should be fun.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 136: Again?

I just got my season ticket renewal form in the mail today. I didn't expect this for another two months.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 136: Again?

Facts:
103 was the high today. It's still 98 out. And humid.
Just got done with an 11+ hour shift.
No air-conditioning.
In a concrete warehouse.
In jeans.

Result: first Showerbeer of the season. Alaskan White, for those who are wondering.

It tasted like tears of joy from an angel.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 136: Again?

Well, tomorrow is my last day of high school. Holy **** has time flown by. Fairly bittersweet for me.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 136: Again?

I did only 9 miles in the heat and humidity yesterday.

Thankfully the rest of the week will be much cooler.

Wimp. And cc about work: 18 manhours today at offsite. Things are *ed. Hardcore. Nonprep about re-org is the key.

Note: they had the best two at offsite.

For the general folk: OT on Tue is usually unpossible. I am on pace (given specific days' "numbers" to have about 12-14 hours OT this week). Have 4 already.

Added note: until the recession, I almost never had OT unless it involved training (usually in another city like Chi-town, Denver, etc).

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 136: Again?

RFAlph- good to hear about the sil.

No intertubes on the laptop. DNS is incorrect which confusing me. It was correct last night when I suddenly couldn't access:mad:

Not a happy camper. Navigating on the phone is more than my 2 degrees helps me with. :(

GGO MORNING EVERYONE!! Wobbly Wednesday

Yes, but if you hurt your hand while smashing your phone into something you will know what to do to fix it. ;) The hand not the phone.

Good to hear Ralph.
