Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 136: Again?

On a day like this, it's nice to be able to eat lunch then go for a walk with never leaving air-conditioned comfort. I like the skyways. :)

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 136: Again?

Thunderstorms here.... between that, a yearly physical, and my little bro's 10th birthday, so much for going to the beach on my day off. :(

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 136: Again?

Are you downtown StP or Mpls?

RBC Plaza, 60 S 6th Street, Mpls. Man, it is amazing how empty the City Center and Block E are of businesses. Took a walk through them at lunch as it's been years since I have done so...

Sweet, now you can buy me lunch. ;)

Block E is empty just recently because the company that bought it is preparing to put in a Casino. City Center on the other hand just sucks.

I thought it was your turn to buy me lunch!

You are at Capella, right?

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 136: Again?

I'll drive down there if you guys want to do the meat coma lunch at my favorite brazilian eatery. :D

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 136: Again?

So you're buying?

I don't think I can do Fago at lunch as the coma will occur.
I would get the coma too...so it might not be the best idea. I just want to take advantage of the half-price lunch they have there.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 136: Again?

It is either 98 or 99 here depending on which location you look at for downtown Mpls. But the dewpoint is only about 59 so not that humid. Should be a fun soccer practice for the boys tonight...

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 136: Again?

It is hot enough at the plant I work in that production workers are getting 10 minute breaks every hour. Thankfully it feels like the ac in my area of the office is finally working again.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 136: Again?

Not looking forward to heading home tonight. The apartment isn't insulated too well so during these extreme high temp days the AC seems to be running constantly. Last night, it wasn't until after midnight when the blower finally stopped because the temperature had finally come down in the apartment to where the thermostat was set.

I'm thinking tonight may be a date night for dinner and a movie somewhere. :D

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 136: Again?

They just canceled soccer practice for my son tonight.

It's not like it's at midday and the coach can control the pace of the practice to keep it light with plenty of water breaks. It's not as if it's a tournament or something.

I think I'll get him on the treadmill in the basement tonight so he gets some exercise in. maybe have him take the ball out in the backyard later when it gets shady to kick around a while too.
