Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 136: Again?

Good Morning Lodge.

I have been pleasantly surprised how easy it has been to keep the house cool during these hot days. I was thinking that it wouldn't be too bad, given the shade the house is under and the large % of the house that is below grade, but it is actually better than I thought it would be. :D

My sister-in-law's tumor was benign. :)
Great news!

Sometimes it's cool to have an old house. The last two days it hasn't been. :)

Speaking of meat coma, the boss & I are planning to take the lad (and lass) to Manny's soon for a celebration dinner for his birthday & graduation. Never been there, should be fun.
Awesome.

Good morning, Lodge! Took my culinary math final last night and I passed the class with plenty of room to spare!

Speaking of meat comas, I'm thinking of hosting an "Ode to the Pig" dinner party as a fundraiser for Team in Training. I definitely see bacon being served, stuffed pork loin, pork chops, etc.

'Morning, Lodge.

Lesson learned: it is too soon after my half to attempt speedwork. I feel like I was hit by a very large vehicle this morning.

Ralph--that's great news about your sister! :D

In other news, I booked a plane ticket home yesterday. I saved over $200 by flying out of MSP and flying in to Manistee (a smallish town about an hour south) instead of TC, and I managed to avoid any bizarre layovers.

Save your stupid words for the people who don't venture out at all.

{Raises hand and waves!} Way too smart here to go out in that heat unless it was absolutely necessary. This is why Willis Carrier invented practical air conditioning (sorry to say he was a Cornell grad).

Mornin' Folks.

The job search continues over here as well. I'll ref 10 hockey games from Saturday through Thursday which will be pretty much my only income I can count on. I've umped a few baseball games, but that won't pay me nearly as well as hockey will. I've got to find a ****ing job.

I thought you were going to work at either the golf course or a restaurant?

He's just out of HS, why would he want to get a job? He's still got 7 years of slacking in college ahead of him before he needs to worry about working for a living. :D

Good Morning, Lodge!

I really want to get out of Wisconsin and move back to Minnesota. Anybody need a graphic designer with a print production background?
