Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 136: Again?

Did my brother ever send you his resume?

Work is dangerously close to collapsing right now. Thank God I have today off...
Yeah, he sent it. I forwarded it on to the people that actually make the decisions. Unfortunately, they don't let me hire people, actually that is probably good. I'd probably hire based more on "assets" than qualifications.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 136: Again?

I did only 9 miles in the heat and humidity yesterday.

Thankfully the rest of the week will be much cooler.

I did 73. :) Started in the dark and rode 40 miles to White's Ferry on the C&O Canal in the shade, then rode about 31 to the Dunn Loring metro station . The big mistake was when I got home, I went to the fish wharf to eat lunch. I think that they change the oil in their deep fry every 6 months or 6000 miles. :D

I always wondered why you leave so early, and now it makes sense (I sure as **** wouldn't want to be riding in the afternoon in DC's climate). I leave fairly late on work days (a little before 10 a.m.) because the rides are short, but when I'm off, I prefer to get out there between 6-7 a.m. (which is something I can't do when I'm working, since I don't get home 'til nearly 8 and need to eat).

That is the reason. Of course, I have been known to stay out longer. :) Today, I certainly wanted to beat the heat. It probably was close to 90 already when I got on the train, but it is 95 now and still climbing.

Started a new Med last night... of course it had the drowsiness warning. Took it around 11, was ptfo shortly after 12. Was woken up at 11, and still feel out of it at 2. Not a fan of this.

So long as it controls the psycotic episodes, it's worth it...

:p

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 136: Again?

so I found out today that I will be starting out in my company's canal division, running the southern routes from corpus christi over to pensacola and up to new orleans. At some point I will be switching to the river division and running around the mississippi, but that won't be until the fall anyways.

Yay! I don't need a mound system for my next septic system! There is good enough soil next to the house to do an in ground septic. Also, he said my tank is new enough to re-use. Overall it sounds like I should have an extra $5000 left from the amount set aside at closing that will go towards my mortgage. Also, he told me that all of the annoying weed-vines all over the grown up part of my lot are actually wild grapes. If I put up some wires and trellises for them to grow on they'll actually produce grapes, which they don't when they lay on the ground.

This will help your wine making hobby.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 136: Again?

Just saw my report card for this quarter: With one class left to report, my GPA for the quarter is 3.6 with A/A- in most of my classes, except for Food Safety (B-).

Definitely. Its going to be pretty cool to make homemade wine from wild grapes grown at my house.

Also, what the hell! Luke Bryan stole my look at the CMT awards! I wore the exact same thing saturday night.

Hey, dunno if you remember the Mexican female friend at my bday a couple years ago, but she saw us on Sat. Apparently she and a date went to the 6pm showing of Hangover 2, and saw us walking to the theater. I got a text asking about "who the guy was with the hat, that you were with on Sat?" I started to text back, then wondered how the hell she knew I was hanging out with you, and that you had a hat on.
