Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 117: It's The Dog Days of Summer

Yes, I believe that is on our Crazy Saturday Schedule this weekend. Next weekend's Crazy Saturday Schedule is even crazier (involving more cars and more people from more disparate locations), so we should probably talk about it tomorrow.

I think every week from now until the middle/end of August (I seem to remember something at the end of August, but I can't quite recall) features a Crazy Saturday Schedule. I can't wait until Labor Day.
The last weekend of August I believe you have a BBQ scheduled in Maine. The weekend before that, however, you get to relax as we having a girls' weekend in CT. :)

These next 3 hours need to go by fast so I can get out of here and go to Minneapolis. I'm getting thirsty

Sorry, I thought I had told everyone. :( We're naming her for her two grandmothers, Margaret Lucy. I've always like the name Maggie so it worked out well. :)

Funny, I don't think my Mom ever used my full name. Dad would use it randomly I think just to irk my mom.

Are you guys going to Mom's tomorrow? Also, we're still working on trying to pick up the hutch next Saturday. Mr. Hit is kind of burnt out at the moment, so he is having a hard time thinking that far ahead.
We knew about Maggie, but were wondering if you were naming her Margaret after Mom or just Maggie because you liked the name. Either way, we're definitely excited! (I'm pulling for Sept. 12 because that's my mom's birthday)

My parents use my full name when I'm in trouble. Of course, I'm the one with the anger issues, so they tend to take the slow quiet speech, while I'm about the crazy shouting. :o My grandmother uses my full name all the time.

We will be at Mom's tomorrow. :) Next Saturday might be a bit hairy, but I'm sure we can arrange something that will be just fine.
Mom didn't with me, either. Dad does, but not always in anger. I think that's an Italian thing, though, as our aunt (dad's sister) tends to refer to her kids by both names.

I've heard your dad refer to you by your whole name. It is a bit odd. I defintiely know he did it at the graduation party, I don't know if it's because we were with so many relatives?

We have to talk about Labor Day... :p

Checking in from the temp job. Planning to spend the next few hours reviewing skills for the GRE.

Nope, he just likes the name. He wanted my first and middle name to be hyphenated, but Mom wanted them separate. Since she filled out the birth certificate, she won that battle. I don't think I have ever heard either of my parents use our other brother's full name. I think I was in school before I even knew that Jay wasn't his given name.

How many more weeks at BC?

she'll learn not to try to argue with me. I'm like the Dirty of the lodge. Except good with the opposite sex, not a jersey whore, or a big nerd. :)
Let's not get carried away here...

Ah - I don't even think I know Jay's middle name. I'll have to ask tcbg in a few hours.

2 weeks left at BC. I'm going to take the GRE after the last day of class (August 5). I'll probably submit my grad school applications at that time too. Then class, GRE, and applications will all be done.

Have you made the recipe with just whole wheat flour yet? If you haven't, just be warned, it's a very dense loaf of bread. I liked it, but a 1/8 slice was filling.
Yes I have, and it was delicious.

Using my bread machine I make a loaf with 2 cups whole wheat, 2 cups bread flour, 1 cup oats and 1/3 cup flax seeds. Toasted with peanut butter, you won't be hungry anytime soon:)
Sounds yummy.

Afternoon, Lodge. I did a pretty good job in my interview today; here's hoping it comes through! :

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 117: It's The Dog Days of Summer

Good Luck, ShirtlessBob!

Good Afternoon, Lodge!

So I found out that I have until next Friday to have the brochure complete and sent to the printer. Of course I had to find this out second hand.

I will never learn to not argue.

Molly Jo is definitely hickish.
Is not.

you also think getting the UP tattooed on your foot makes you classy.
I never said that. But I do kind of want to go and get my 2nd tattoo today.

Raining and we need it. Of course Mr watered the garden at 7AM so I am sure he is not happy.

It's freaking pouring here. The clouds will behave for a few minutes, and then away we go again.

Michigan Technological University, a world-renowned engineering school, well known as one of the most tech savvy and technologically advanced schools in the entire world, can't keep an e-mail server running.

We're doomed.

Sister of Twitch officially has a clean bill of health.

She had a sinus infection, and apparently taking too many decongestants in too short a timeframe can make your heart race. Didn't know that.

I bet the pills she has to take for the sinus thing are huge. My pills looked like something you'd feed a horse.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 117: It's The Dog Days of Summer

It has been a tough one in the g household today. Our friend who was diagnosed with cancer late last fall was airlifted to Mayo last night. He passed away early this afternoon.

The crazy part is that over the past couple weeks things were trending in a great direction and even as of yesterday I would have bet that he was going to beat this thing.

My heart hurts. :(

F U cancer!

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 117: It's The Dog Days of Summer

F U cancer!

Seconded. :( My condolences, gmann and gfamilyy.

Evening, Lodge. Pancakes are slightly unusual for dinner, but when accompanied by bacon they're more than welcome. :)

Oh, and, I'm jealous of everyone going to the Flugtag tomorrow.
