Quinnipiac Bobcats 2017-18: Chase the dream...

Re: Quinnipiac Bobcats 2017-18: Chase the dream...

So on the up side, we just finished our first weekend since before Thanksgiving without a loss!! :) Seriously, 7 big away games to set the tone for the second half. Cornell and Colgate are a good hike, but Hartford is less than an hour up the road. Would be great to see a good QU Fan turnout at the XL to kick off the second half. Let's go BOBCATS!

As of this morning, the ECAC holds 7 of the bottom 15 spots in the Pairwise. Not Pretty.

Very interesting to hear how a seemingly innocuous visit to QU basically spurred his decision to want to come play here. Good job with this, and Merry Christmas to all my fellow Bobcat faithful.

Absolutely agree. Quinnipiac doesn't usually hit the Chicago market that young for a kid and hopefully this opens doors to the Chicago Mission program as there is alot of talent there.

A couple of new assistant captains: http://quinnipiacbobcats.com/news/2...ipiac-mens-ice-hockey-assistant-captains.aspx

I wonder if we'll see any other changes come Tuesday?

I still think this will be a different team in the 2nd half.

Hope everyone is enjoying the holiday season...

While its a nice honor for those 2 I am not sure much will change in the second half. You still need talent to win which they lack up front. The schedule also isn't friendly as well with the 1st 7 away from home which gives the opponents the opportunity to match up with the Bobcats bottom 2 lines which aren't good at all. Also still on the schedule is Clarkson (2), Harvard, Cornell, Colgate, Union.

Great interview,

Is Jack the type talent (if development stays on course) that can be a top 3 rounder in the draft? I know he is very young, but I'm wondering if he is a top offensive talent that has eluded us in years prior and current. I know we've had talented guys like Peca, Anas, and the Jones', but all those guys were 7th rounders or undrafted. So I guess my question is, is Jack a new breed of offensive talent (or projected offensive talent) that we haven't brought in before?

If he's a 3rd rounder, you'll never see him as a 19 year old freshman in Hamden.

Here is a scouting report from a coach that I talked to that has dealt with him before.

"High compete level, plays with an edge & has high end skill. Def candidate for NTDP. Has the intangibles to be a potential pro. Very mature & professional approach for such a young person."
