Detroit has waived Brunnstrom (thanks to bronconick for pointing it out). Though the Tech fan in me would like to see Conner get a shot with the Wings (and he is the Griffins' leading scorer right now), I just don't know if he can do bottom six duty reliably enough for Detroit. Nyquist would be the only other player who has really earned a call-up.

Kronwall signs a 7 year extension, no cap hit yet available.
And ESPN apparently has been failing math in their NHL attendance #'s and have been slowly fixing it. They've been adding GP days before adding the next game's attendance, giving Nashville and Buffalo >14k averages and Toronto and Montreal less than 100%.
Buffalo's home games thus far: 13,349 (sell out in Finland, probably shouldn't count anyway)

I wouldn't call Cleary or Helm "crap", per se. Cleary can play Top 6 minutes when needed, he just can't do it all the time. But yes, the scoring touch beyond those first three names you mentioned is streaky at best. Hell, even Franzen is a streaky player. I think Nyquist would have the best chance of sticking and putting up some points. Conner has some speed, but he's no Martin St. Louis. I think he'll still be pushed off the puck a lot, and doesn't really have the finishing ability Detroit could use to break out of this little slump. The tradeoff is, he does have some NHL experience that Nyquist doesn't, so maybe he should get a shot.
And yeah, with the details of Kronner's cap hit revealed, the Ericsson contract is officially a joke.

That is awesome! I used to not like Torres, but now I don't mind him so much! I told all the guys this weekend that they should do blackface, they wouldn't do it.
