Re: Obama XXII: Occupy the White House

BTW, your default position that Fox is responsible for all the evils of the world is a bit frayed, don't you think? Is that all you got?
Probably because unlike you I don't have a bunch of conservative blogs and websites favorited to get my news.

But why Fox? Because they never disappoint. And ****tards like you can never respond when it's pointed out how they choose to misrepresent and lie to their viewership on a daily/hourly/minute basis. Remember that post awhile ago where I listed about ten instances just off the top of my head including them going to court to justify presenting a lie as fact? But don't worry I'm sure you can dredge up someone from the "mainstream" or "libtard" media who lied. Usually resulting in them being fired/resigned/rebuked. And that makes one of the largest viewed "news" outlets just one of the gang.

O'Reilly actually said recently that you're not allowed to say anything on Fox News unless you can back it up. (But other channels you can) This was of course after he spent every minute up to that point lying and making baseless claims. (And he continued to do it even after telling both of his guests that they can't make baseless claims after they went against him) The hypocrisy is simply delicious.

So what about MSNBC? They choose to mis-represent anyone who isn't from the far left. They're further left of Lenin.

The question is...are these protesters really worth our attention? NO. These protesters are screaming about having to pay back student loans and not getting jobs. Like I said...most of them I wouldn't hire anyways! I'm sorry...but a masters degree in Art History can get you a job pouring coffee but not in my business or any other...except art and running a dispensary.

And, I'll let it be known that I can't stand either party. The far left drives me insane as does the far right. I simply want someone in charge who knows what they're doing...and honestly...the government isn't fit to run a 7-11...let alone the country.

Lot of assumptions/judgments being made about people I doubt you know one iota about...somehow I doubt you are walking around talking to all the OWS people getting to know them so I take your opinion of who they are and whether they are qualified to be part of your all important professional business with a massive grain of salt. It is about as valid as saying I wouldnt trust you to wash my car. Who are you (or me in my metaphor) and why do we care what you think?

Of course if I was hiring for a job I would hire the most qualified and not hate on people due to tattoos and piercings. (of which I have none of so it isnt like I am biased) But I know that is crazy talk, how people look is way more important than their ability to do a good job. Must look professional. If you look good in a suit you are hired.

I may think they are pointless since the rich can just ignore it and lose nothing, but I support the idea of the OWS just like I did the Tea Party before it was co-opted/sold out to the GOP. People need to start making themselves heard, all people. That includes the people you look down your nose at.

When we do hirings, we look at qualifications AND appearance. Whether you like it or not, tattoos and piercings don't look very good to a certain sector of the customers we cater to. If someone has a tattoo on their upper arm, I could care less...even on their back. Be able to cover it up though. However, when it looks like you can play DVDs in your ear lobe, or a magnet would result in certain severe injury...I'm sorry but I'm not going to hire that person. They can be a great person, but by doing what they did, they showed me very poor judgement. If I see poor judgement like that, do you think I'll be able to trust them to show good judgement while working for me?

Can we wait for the masses to chant "The whole world is watching!"??

Be real, appearance matters, we all know it and we all have lived with it.

So the answer to my question is: "Yes, that's all I got." The irony here is it's not necessary to pay any attention to Fox at all. Your obsession to memorize and post every utterance is quite sufficient. Are you even capable of posting a "thought" without reference to Fox? Je le doute.

Watch this hypocritical millionaire (who dresses like he buys his clothes at the Larchmont A & P) through to the end. It'll be worth it. Because he does the best Howard Dean "rant" impression I've ever seen. Maybe he and Dean are one in the same, he just wears a sumo suit when he's pretending to be Moore. And the measure of the collective stupidity of the "occupy" crowd is they evidently accept this guy, who lives in a multi-million dollar apartment overlooking Central Park, as "one of them." Yeah, right.

Appearance shows that you care about yourself and the image that you project to others.

Agreed on all points. Even most coffee joints won't hire you if you look like that. Starbucks, Caribou, DD, Dunn Brothers, and all the others wouldn't hire someone who looks like that. Mickey Ds wouldn't hire them.

Not sure what else needs to be said. Image is everything.

Oh, no. It's the outrage of the day. Lock up your daughters.

Re: Obama XXII: Occupy the White House

Where was all this concern about how people looked during the Tea Party protests?

I suppose you'd hire them. Have a newsflash for all you HR Managers out there: People usually dress up for a job interview. Shocking, I know. I don't know anyone that would go camping for a month without a shower or a haircut and walk into an employer's office and ask for a job (except maybe a lumber jack). Maybe you've been hanging out with the wrong crowd, because people I know like to shower, shave and wear their best so they make a good impression to the person interviewing them. When you go to a protest you generally don't wear your best clothes...

Attacking them for their clothes and looks really shows your desperation to find something, anything, to complain about.

There's an ocean of difference between clothes and having, as it was so well said above, holes in your ears as large as DVDs, being tattooed from bow to stern, or having enough piercings to make it look like you stood in the way of a buckshot.

Nice try though.

And who was asking you for a job anyway?

Oh, I'm sorry, that's probably reaching, too

And the tattoos? And the piercings? I guess one difference would be the Tea Party types don't dress this way everyday. Nobody was ever arrested at a Tea Party event. Nobody ever crapped on a cop car at a Tea Party event. Nobody ever left a mess after a Tea Party event. Nobody ever challenged a cop at a Tea Party event. Nobody ever sold dope at a Tea Party event. Nobody ever committed sexual assault at a Tea Party event. Other than that, your comparisons are right on point.
