Obama 7 - now what?

Re: Obama 7 - now what?

Lest we think he's a "moderate"... a moderate would never use that kind of language.

You're not that stupid. Stop pretending.

edit: which brings up the point again... why do the enlightened (such as Maddow who invented this whole "tea-bagger" meme) need to use such language and why do they hate so much?

AFAIK, the teabagger phrase was first uttered by someone FROM the teaparty movement. Olbermann / Maddow types didn't miss the chance to have some fun at the (IIRC) woman's expense.

Of course, they've kept playing that note at every opportunity, for months on end. And it is getting tired. So we're in agreement there.

IIRC, the first use was self-referential by the tea party organizers, when they said they wanted to "tea bag the White House" without a hint of the possible connotations of such a statement. Obviously, if they want to tea bag things, they must be teabaggers. Which they seemed to embrace until they figured out what that means.

It's way beyond tired. "Tea bag" is a lot like "cut and run." It's stupid, vacuous, and an easy way to broadly dismiss a group. It served a purpose, underscoring the irony of the town hall screamers' self-naming given the "doth protest too much" homophobia of the same group, but now... R.I.P.

I hate to interrupt this snark-fest with some perspective, but there are plenty of nutcakes to go around.

Question...

How many of these perspectives do you see make it to the top of govt? (feel free to support your answer). On the other hand, neocons spent quite a bit of time there to the country's detriment. Left extremism like these pics is so rare relative to blind Rush supporters, conservative evangelicals and freedom fry hawks...the only reason they are trotted out is to attempt to distract from real attempts on the other side to railroad US culture.

What color is the sky in your world?

Wait a second....

I saw these guys out front of the post office yesterday (I had no idea they still existed). You'll be pleased to know it's still all the Queen's fault.

These people are all so original, and the captions are very humorous in Pio's link.

(Sigh)

You really don't pay attention, do you?

On one hand, it's true -- the WTO Seattle kooks, the town hall screamers, they're all the same. But Lyndon's troops do add some touches you don't see everywhere. Among my favorites: the British installed Hitler to protect their empire, and the most significant event in US history is the assassination of William McKinley. Not letting the McKinley thing go... that is a whole new level of "MoveOn." :D

And none of the other kook ball "leaders" have the street cred of actually serving hard time.

President uses sexual epithet to describe groups of US citizens in meeting with congressional Dems

Patman, Barack is no moderate by anyone's language. If you live in Chicago, you'd know. This guy has been praising marxists and adopting their language from the get-go. His interview's on NPR are just the tip of the iceburg. As a man of cuban descent (meaning in part, well-versed in the whole Big Brother/Cult of Personality totalitarian taking over under the guise of the "public good") I'm telling ya this guy isn't just scary, he's the real deal. He's the U.S. version of Che Guevara.

But what really frightens me is how many democrat politicians, and democrat voters have finally swung over to the socialist movement, and are hell bent on destroying the U.S. Constitution. Why? When exactly did the constitution become evil? And where in the constitution is authority granted to the President to do what Obama is doing? Czar's? Unconstitutional. Taking over healtchcare, banks, auto companies? Unconstitutional.

I hope like hell all of these get litigated because they'll be reversed or stopped by the Supreme Court.

When I see what Obama is doing and his picture everywhere it looks and feels like Cuba. Do we want to live there?

and why don't these politicians (Obama and his team in particular) adopt the public health care for their own use and families? They won't. They never will. They know it's fraudulent and won't work and if you get cancer you're ****ed under that system. They'll stay above and outside of it....

unreal.

Brilliant. I couldn't have written it better if I had tried. :D

Re: Obama 7 - now what?

Nothing I said even remotely implies such a thing..The fact is the private sector dominated that market to the point of rendering Fannie/Freddie a bit player.

Here's your "bit player"......

http://finance.yahoo.com/news/Freddie-Mac-posts-5-billion-rb-3083454207.html?x=0&.v=3

Fannie Mae had a great 3Q as well, losing nearly $19 billion in three months.

Why do you suppose they're hemmoraging cash? Yeah, it might have something to do with the quality of the loans they took on.

Kind of reminds me of the crazy guy I talked to once that said there should be no "Department of Energy" because it wasn't in the Constitution.
