Obama 7 - now what?

Re: Obama 7 - now what?

I wonder how many of those 31 states still have sodomy laws on the books? It would be kind of difficult to affirm same-sex marriage if the two people can't legally have sex wouldn't you think? I certainly can't google sodomy laws while sitting at work...but its an interesting thought...

I'm guessing not many. Or at least that they aren't enforced, since Lawrence v. Texas.

Re: Obama 7 - now what?

Gotta love this letter to the editor in the Mpls. Star Tribune today.

It's not enough to ban gay marriage folks. We need to ban homosexuality to save ourselves.

the Twelve Days of Christmas is the time between Christmas and Epiphany

That's right. I knew that. And in the song, Jesus is the bird, 4 are the gospels, 10 are the commandments....

Still didn't help me remember the Catechism. :(

Re: Obama 7 - now what?

don't forget : Easter is the first Sunday after the full moon following the vernal equinox. :)

Re: Obama 7 - now what?

Wow, Patman, I never thought that you would be stretching to such extremes in your hatred towards Obama.

Nowhere in that article does it say he called them the word that irritates you so, 'teabaggers'. He did say the word 'teabag', but then again, since we had many prominent Republican leaders urging their constituents to mail teabags to their representatives to signal their discontent, I don't see what's there to get all so worked up about?

Or are you just like all the rest of the nutjobs, and will seize on any and every little thing Obama does and make an issue out of it?

I thought so.

You know, at least he didn't tell them to go eff themselves, or anything like that.

Re: Obama 7 - now what?

President uses sexual epithet to describe groups of US citizens in meeting with congressional Dems

Lest we think he's a "moderate"... a moderate would never use that kind of language.

edit: which brings up the point again... why do the enlightened (such as Maddow who invented this whole "tea-bagger" meme) need to use such language and why do they hate so much?

From this, to his schoolgirl catfight with Fox News, to his idiotic "shout-out" during his remarks on the Ft. Hood tragedy, he's shown to have the maturity level of a 5th grader. It's more sickening by the day, as the mask slips away and we're left with this pathetic piece of wannabe. the voters of the country should hang their heads at the way they were fooled.

the voters of the country should hang their heads at the way they were fooled.

And more independents are fooled every day!!!

The levels of derangement have eclipsed Clinton, and we're getting into Reagan territory. Imagine what would happen if Obama started actually governing to the real left -- I'd say heads would a-splode, but that's already happening. :)

The only real word for what's going on now is hatred -- sheer, emotional, unthinking hatred. They're not even trying to argue on the merits anymore -- it's all ad hominum, all the time.

I saw these guys out front of the post office yesterday (I had no idea they still existed). You'll be pleased to know it's still all the Queen's fault.

Not at all. I don't "hate" fifth grade schoolgirls. But I think it's beyond foolish to hand one of them the reins to the country and say, "go ahead and do what you want, dear... health care for all? Oh that sounds like a caring idea..." without stopping to even consider any of the ramifications.
Then every time someone steps up to say, wait, maybe we should ask a question... the fifth grade schoolgirl pouts and says, "none of my friends are allowed to talk to you anymore" or starts this stupid, pointless name-calling.
