Again. I don't have to move the goalposts. The Little Six is bad. The Gophers are bad. The Badgers are bad. Your argument is "they will be better." That's your opinion. I will believe it when I see it.
You jumped into the discussion and implied they won't be better, then you've fixated on how bad they are now as your only evidence that they won't be better. It's comical.
It may be my opinion that the conference will be better, but at least my opinion is based on hard evidence and not full of hyperbole.
It is a fact that increasing the number of programs in your conference gives you more OOC games as a conference, and that this makes the conference less susceptible to a bad season by the programs at the bottom of the conference. It's basic statistics.
It is a fact that adding a program that has had the recent success Notre Dame has had will help even more with OOC Pairwise implications.
It is a fact that the B1G programs have had about as much success as any conference in the last 10 years on average.
Yes, it is speculation that a program like Wisconsin will return to the form of a program that makes it to the NCAA Tourney more than it doesn't. However, considering the facilities they have, the educational institution they are, the resources to hire good coaching they have, and the proximity to great recruiting areas in Minnesota, Michigan, and Illinois, the smart money is on them bouncing back to that level.
As amusing as it has been to listen to how desperate you are to beat your chest about being better than the Gophers the last few years (talk about being "thirsty"), you have yet to offer one concrete reason for why you think the B1G will remain down or why a school like UW won't be able to get back to being a program that wins more than it loses.
