The Captain: Annie Hogan picked up two points, assisting on the first and third Husky goals against UNH at Fenway Friday night.

Re: Northeastern Huskies 2009-10

The tables have turned this time around, as the Huskies come back from a 3rd period deficit and score 4 goals in the final frame to win 7-4. NU now has 13 wins for the first time since 2004 and currently has sole possession of 1st place in HEA with a big game coming up at Maine on Friday.

Prop's to all the Huskies for keeping their cool and enduring a whole bunch of cheap shots from the eagles. WooHoo, as the refs actually saw a couple and gave out penalties and a well deserved misconduct:mad: ! Points scored from a bunch of Huskies! Way to hang tough ladies!!!

Re: Northeastern Huskies 2009-10

Looks like NU finally has some offense to go along with their shiny pair of goaltenders. if that's the case, they'll be a dangerous team come March.

While I'm not happy with BC's play in the third, I don't think the HFB warranted a game misconduct. It looked to me like more of an unlucky angle than anything. But, I was on the other side, so I'm not sure. The Eagles have some discipline issues, not only w/ taking bad penalties but also playing unintelligent, individualistic hockey in tight spots. Lots of stuff for the coaching staff to sort out and address.

For whatever it's worth, I agree.... there was a penalty there but perhaps not a major, let alone a Gamer. Not sure it would have been enough to change the outcome though.

No one has mentioned yet, but the action that sparked the incident was when the BC player in question was a little nonchalant in picking up the puck just below the goal line extended. She swept over it with her stick (as we have all done at some point). This caused the NU forward charging in to get possession, necessitating the resulting desperate measures.

Re: Northeastern Huskies 2009-10

NU-3, Maine-1

Nice win tonight. The Huskies seem to be hitting their stride and picking up steam for a strong run towards the finish :) . The regulars keep on scoring and the bench seems to be contributing more each week :D . Should be a good tough game with NH next week....Can the hounds finally turn the tide against the cats????

May not have changed the outcome but it ended any hopes of a BC comeback.

No, Bergey is correct. The game was a tie. NU "won" a shootout.

It is simply a tiebreaker for the standings, which is why the "goal" scored is not counted in the stats, nor do Schelling or Herman get credit for the "saves" they made.
