Those are some beautiful pictures and nicely laid out. Thanks for sharing

Thank you, I will be adding it to my online gallery/store shortly for anyone who'd like to purchase it (and help out a starving, though well-fed, artist ;) )

lovely :)

Have you talked to anyone from NU? I'd be willing to bet the coaches or people at Matthews would love something like this to display.

NH Governor John Lynch was at our game last Sunday, (he and his wife are big hockey people, and were at Fenway as well). We presented them with a signed copy of the UNH version after the game, which he said would be hung in the Governor's office, so , yeah, it's a great keepsake.

Nice job, Gib:D

Re: Northeastern Huskies 2009-10

Nice job by Miss Schelling last night, as she turned aside 30 some odd shots, plus a key save to secure the shootout victory for Switzerland over Russia 2-1. Julia Marty was involved in a big collision in front of Schelling early in the third that resulted in her leaving the game, and the Russian player needing smelling salts to come around.

EDIT: never mind, live stats claimed Quinnipac beat RPI today, but apparently that's not yet the case

Still bruised up over that stinging loss, but congrat's to all the Husky's on a very successful year!!! Congrat's to Flo and Espo for their well deserved post season awards:p :

With this season and their 2nd straight post season appearance, the Husky's seem to have turned the tide of several years past and returned this program to it's position of HEA and national prominance!!! Way to go players!!!:D

I'd hold off on the concession speech until they are mathematically eliminated, which they haven't been.

I don't know every single bit of selection criteria for NCAAs but I can only imagine that how the team faded down the stretch will leave a bad taste in the decision-makers' mouths.

For the most part you can just look at the Top 8 in the PWR, less any autobids from outside those spots, and that will be the field.

There COULD be an exception, such as Darty getting in over Clarkson last year, but that is a fringe case.

Clarkson was #8; Darty #9. If I recall the situation correctly, it was a situation where the Selection Committee felt that Clarkson's category wins in the comparison were slight, while Darty's were signficant. IIRC, it was felt that Clarkson barely scraping by in several categories, were not as strong a resume as Darty's solid wins.

Thus, with NU at #8, it is possible that the Selection Committee could choose a Cornell or BU at #9 (seeing as Quinnipiac is done) over the Huskies. But I think it would be based more on the specific comparisons rather than the perception of their recent play. After all, the Last 16 (?) category was removed from the PWR for a reason.

Re: Northeastern Huskies 2009-10

True, but Cornell surely will be ahead of Northeastern with a win over RPI and a loss in the ECAC final. And of course none of the three conferences can have an autobid winner from outside the top 8. So it's possible, barely. And any Northeastern tourney bid would certainly imply a trip to Erie for the quarters.
