Interesting psychological possibilities. Given this guy has convinced himself he's some sort of "terrible swift sword," avenging evil doing by LAPD. A guy who figures he's justified in murdering the daughter of a retired officer and her fiance, not to mention as many cops as he can find--which is more likely. He puts a bullet in his own head? Or he makes a last stand in the bunker? I'd imagine it'll be the latter.

Note: pinhead anchor on Fox just referred to him as "Mr." Dorner. Jebus Christo, are we concerned about prejudicing his trial? Are we concerned about meeting high journalistic standards?

Same idiot also earlier referred to winding up on death row in California. Given that California has only executed 5 people in the last 30 years, why should Dorner or anyone else be concerned?

Another interesting psychological question: how many of these "supporters" are genuine? And how many are just iconoclastic children eating Cheez Whiz in their parents' basements?

Cops are saying locals "recognized" Dorner. At any given time, how many heavily armed, 6 foot, 270 pound black guys with a Mr. Clean 'do are there in Big Bear?

If I owned that cabin, I'd definitely be on the phone to my insurance agent about now.

Ha. For the uninitiated: the "presumption of innocence" applies in courtrooms. We carried the OJ trial live. And from time to time listeners would call in, enraged, that we were somehow poisoning his trial (it was poisoned, but that's another story). The fact that the jury was selected and sequestered. And we were broacasting in Omaha probably diminished our ability to "poison" the proceedings during talk shows. Observing these "legal" niceties isn't mandatory and doesn't require abandonment of common sense.

Gabby Giffords will be there as will the parents of Hadiya Pendleton. Terrible tragedies. Not caused by "assault weapons." Evidently doesn't make any difference.

Fox reports its LA affiliate is reporting that one of the officers shot in the initial firefight with Dorner has died. The second officer listed in critical condition. Four dead, two civilians and two officers. Smoke this mother farker.

Police have edidently been firing tear gas canisters into the cabin for some time. No response from Dorner. Let's hope he'd dead.

Fox now reporting cabin is "fully engulfed" in flames. Let's hope Dorner's a crispy critter.

CNN confirming and showing video of fire. Also reporting SWAT has made entry into the cabin.

Shades of Waco.

Gutless (but not entirely unexpected) if he shot himself. So did Vernon Howell in Waco. Actually, one of Howell's people put one in his ear, but the result was the same.

Let's hope that San Bernardino county deputy pulls through.

I'd imagine the cabin owner has Dennis Haysbert on speed dial.

Nitwit CNN reporter repeatedly refers to "Mr." Dorner. Idiot.
