NHL 2021: I Pledge Allegiance to Gritty

That's a hell of a lot to cough up for a player who's:

1. Injured and probably won't be cleared to play until after Jan 1 even with the disc replacement
2. Never played a single NHL playoff game
3. Only scored 30+ goals once so far
4. Paid $10m a year because he's all Buffalo had

All credit to Kevyn Adams, I'd have told him to pound sand. Between an injured Eichel being a $10m human paperweight and him likely being locker room poison even if he got surgery and could play again, Adams would've had to cave eventually.

ESPN thinks Buffalo blew that trade. Lol

Yea, they wasted the entire "The Point" yesterday talking the trade- as if there's no other news to talk about. While it's great that the NHL has it's own hour show, they need to have more reporters find subjects to talk about. ESPN is taking a little too long getting actual hockey beat reporters. Seems like it's still at least 2:1 for former players to actual reporters.

It pains me, but I'm out on the NHL this season. I canceled my Fubo subscription (though the ridiculous cost and horrible programming didn't help that either).

The way the NHL has and continues to treat bad player behavior on and off the ice is simply more than I'm willing to support. The Chicago situation was the final straw for me. Honestly. Mocking an assault victim? For real? Fuck off.

Arizona is 0-10-1 with 1pt and playing Seattle tonight.

Seattle goes up 2-0 inside one minute and Arizona makes a goalie change.

Wild game was fun. Two extra attacker goals, the second with 1.1 seconds left. Win in the shootout. Two points stolen from the Penguins!

Carey Price checked himself into a substance abuse treatment facility and returned today.

To be fair, if I had to play goalie for a Canadian Original Six franchise with unrealisticly high expectations every season and a media circus to match, I'd still be getting drunk regularly.
