Diamond Sports (Bally) will finish broadcasting the rest of the NHL season and then all NHL teams will regain their broadcasting rights. Excited to see if the NHL can pull a streaming service together with those 11 teams without blackout restrictions.

Edit: After more looking it seems the NHL will retain the broadcasting rights, not the teams.

Fleury continues to be the master.

one of his teammates joked that his win over Boston the other night was “incredible for a 50 year old.”

tonight, that player had to leave the arena shirtless as MAF stole his shirts.

two more wins ties fleury with Roy for second alll time wins.

Germany beat Finland this morning in juniors, notching their first win head to head. Their record is now 1-25.

Finns are now 0-2. Their next game against Latvia will likely decide who goes to the relegation playoff.

Winter Classic review: I sat in the last row of the upper deck in right field and, honestly, those seats had some of the best views of the ice. I saw the whole game and all the action, just couldn’t see numbers. The experience was cool though.

So the Bedard hit... I can't be the only one who thinks Bedard deserves some of the fault- he had is head down, and the hit wasn't particularly dirty (if at all). I get Chicago standing up for him- that's fine. But when you go into the slot with your head down looking at the puck, you are very likely to run into a player who is stopped, and it will hurt. The NJ player could have really taken his head off, which didn't happen.

One of the earliest things I learned playing hockey was to keep your head up. Then again, when I played, you were allowed to check as a mite. Good old days.

Hit seemed fine. Is the guy who hit him gonna get suspended though for hurting baby Jesus?

honestly I hope he misses all star game, would serve Gary and the league right to not be able to market their star after their terrible management and leadership.
