Re: NFL 2015: Let's Talk About Balls

Eh, not really a fan of that change. I say back it to the 8 and have all plays start there, be it a kick or a 2 point try. From the 8, you're back a little further for a kick, the Defense has a little more territory they need to cover to stop the try, and allows for the special team guys have reasons to keep an assortment of trick plays in their back pocket.

1 try to get 8 yards? thats stupid, too focused on the pass.

Re: NFL 2015: Let's Talk About Balls

Personally I would like to see the kick being about 40 yards... That way a miss is more than a 1-in-a-million chance of missing... Even with the change, kickers are still connecting 93% or so...

Re: NFL 2015: Let's Talk About Balls

Ge rid of the placement kick and all PAT's have to be drop kicks from the 20.

Yeah, but if you're selling all out to defended the pass, a running lane should be wide open. Not to mention the odd trick play.

Next thing you'll say is Peyton for the QB sneak.

How many run plays can get 8 yards in the NFL? Those lanes close up quick, especially when you throw 11 defenders into a total of 18 yards, including the back of the end zone.

Ray McDonald busted for DV again, cut by the Bears.

Hey...at least he didn't underinflate any footballs.

Re: NFL 2015: Let's Talk About Balls

So now AP is threatening to retire if he isn't traded. WTH. He must of forgot it was he who used the switch on his son not the Vikings. Need to get rid of him and his attitude.

Re: NFL 2015: Let's Talk About Balls

That would've been nice to know before the draft. Oh well, the RBs from last year did all right if not great. They even showed some strong flashes at times, too.

What's that going to do to the Vikings' cap if he takes his switch and goes home?

His contract is $15/year for 8 years. I think he has 3 years remaining. I don't know how that timeline impacts the cap number, though.

Re: NFL 2015: Let's Talk About Balls

No one knows what AP is thinking because there's no direct quotes from anyone that I ca find.

Re: NFL 2015: Let's Talk About Balls

Man, this guy is just the biggest piece of ****. Beats his kid, asks for raise, takes ball and goes home. I hope the Vikings **** him over in every way possible.

Re: NFL 2015: Let's Talk About Balls
