Re: NFL 2015: Let's Talk About Balls

Basically: Take away the Ivy League/private school/Yuppie side of New England, and you have the deep south? Am I reading that right?

Re: NFL 2015: Let's Talk About Balls

My observation essentially boils down to: there is a far greater difference between people who live in rural vs. urban areas than there is based on geography. Dallas yuppies have far more in common with their Wall Street cousins than with the rednecks in East Texas, who in turn have a lot in common with bumpkins from The County.

Like the Wells report, there are good points and some not so good points.

the text messages seems to indicate they took air out but it doesn't link tom brady and it doesn't provide true context.

I am a pats fan and think they took air out. However if ted wells wants to believe the texts then he should have investigated the claim that refs filled balls to like 16 psi (forget what game that was) when it should have been 12.5. That's just as big of an issue yet he tries to completely exonerate the refs here.

The pats claim that "the deflator" was in reference to losing weight...now that one is just stupid.

So did they take air out? I say yes but without knowing where the balls started at and with walt andersin not remembering what gauge he used etc i do think a plausible scenario is balls were filled over 12.5 and then pats took air out to get it to there because they know that's where tom likes it.

Against the rules? Technically yes but really? People actually care about that?

And whether you think brady demanded balls be under 12.5, there's certainly not a shred of evidence to support that. Each side has found differing opinions in the science field.

Just crazy people care so much about this but guess i'm not really surprised.

GLA just needs to get this in court so we can see what was on his phone already!!!

(Gay porn?!?!?). ;)

Goodell hearing the appeal. THIS should go over well....

He knows that if this went to a truly neutral arbitrator, chances are this suspension gets overturned entirely. At least with this he can salvage a suspension even if he reduces it to try and please both sides. Now, while the Pats defense yesterday wasn't the greatest rebuttal (still had some good points)...the following is very well done by Brady's defense:

Why does Goodell have to overcomplicate things and create a conflict of interest? Is he really that much of a micro-manager?

It truly is a miracle of collective bargaining that this is any more complicated than (a) NFL has a rule about ball pressure, (b) Brady/NE knowingly broke the rule, (c) Brady/NE get a punishment.
