Brett Favre Signed and inscribed 297 Starts Football

One of the most historic streaks ever in all of sports has come to an end. The NFL's own Ironman Brett Favre has ended his consecutive starting game streak at 297. Chances are if your under 40 you don't remember a time in the NFL with out Brett Favre playing on Sunday. This is a monumental feat especially at the quarterback position. Just consider since 1992 the Chicago Bears have watched over 20 QB's start for their team; and the average career length in the NFL is less than four years.

We are now offering Official NFL football signed by Brett with inscription: 297 starts 1992-2010

This is a Pre-Sale! Footballs will be available in about 30 days.

This is an Official NFL Brett Favre signed football with inscription. It comes with a certificate of authenticity and a picture of Brett from the signing and holograms.

Available Style Qty Price
Signed $499.99
I'll take three!

If the Baltimore D could just score two more TDs, that'd be really sweet.

i'm tied 108-108... i'm all done and he has mason finishing out the late game. i'm poised to lose on the espn technicality that the higher seed automatically advances. special thanks to coughlin not challenging that safety!

You mean this.

Happened in the Cotton Bowl in 1954.

Don't forget Woody! :D

Re: NFL 2010: $25K Fine For Talking About Fines

I just won the regular season title in my money league because of the Baltimore pick six. Doesn't get me any money but it sets me up for the playoffs nicely.

Maybe I can finally win the championship for the first time ever since I've been the Vikings/Bills of my league (4 second place finishes in 9 years)

The last two seasons I've started:

5-1 (2009) finished 6-7 (with the most points in the league) and needed to sneak back door into the playoffs for the #6 seed. Lost in first round.

5-0 this season finished 8-5 as the third seed. Lost three matchups by three points or less. Lost in the first round because of AP's awful 2.6 game.

F it. I hate fantasy football.

Im trading Peterson, Rivers, Wayne, and Ray Rice for Stevie Johnson.

Re: NFL 2010: $25K Fine For Talking About Fines

HA. Way to torment me, fantasy football. Baltimore D actually gets two of the three TDs I was asking for and makes my bad start/sit decisions that much more glaring. I'd have won if I'd just stuck with Kevin Boss instead of tinkering and picking up Brent Celek. Another reason why all of Philadelphia should go die in a fire.

How cool is this? A design I came up with a few months ago (on a project for the U) sounds like it's going to be used to help winterize TCF stadium and prepare it for the vikings game if they go with TCF.

Re: NFL 2010: $25K Fine For Talking About Fines

Well that sucked.

League 1: First-round playoff bye.

League 2: Lost heavily (126.3 - 68.3) in a game that fortunately didn't matter as I had already locked up the top playoff seed. My MVP: Michael Vick (27.1). FU to: almost everyone else including Calvin Johnson (5.7), Brandon Lloyd (3.2), Rashard Mendenhall (7.5), Chris Ivory (4.7). Should have played: no changes would have mattered even slightly, my bench all sucked too.

League 3: Lost to a crap team in the first round of the playoffs, 135.6 - 130.0. My co-MVPs: Chris Johnson (33.9), Baltimore D (31.2). FU to: Eli Manning (11.1), Johnson (6.2), Lloyd (4.7), and especially Brent Celek (MISTER BLUTARSKY. ZERO POINT ZERO.). Should have played: David Garrard (23.6) instead of Eli, Mike Wallace (11.5) instead of Lloyd, Kevin Boss (10.3) instead of Celek, any of which would have won the game for me.

I've got Peterson here, too, giving me 2 points when I need 25. But what do you do, not start him if he's starting? Grrr....

And don't get me started on appendicitis.

Re: NFL 2010: $25K Fine For Talking About Fines

Wow, talk about parity. I'm in a Yahoo public league with 10 teams. Top 4 make the championship playoffs, second 4 consolation, and the last two are done. Going into this week, I was in first place by a game at 9-4, then there was an 8-5 guy, followed by three 7-6 and four 6-7, along with a dud at 3-10. Well, I lost to one of the 6-7, and the 8-5 guy won, so I lost first place based on the first tiebreaker of total points scored. Everything fell into place perfectly, so there are seven teams at 7-7. The guy who had the fourth seed got knocked out of the championship playoffs because he had a bad week and was taken over by another team. So the entire consolation bracket is made up of 7-7 teams, two championship bracket teams are at 7-7 and there's one more at 7-7 who didn't even make the playoffs.

Now I've got to decide whether to take a gamble at TE with Gates and his injury, gamble with Schiancoe and his declining numbers, or pick up a free agent for the first round of the playoffs.

How my regular season finished in a Yahoo private league (I in 2nd place):

TEAM W L T PCT GB
MakeChecksPayab leToMattStoffer 9 4 1 .679 --
You're All Gay 8 6 0 .571 1.5
The Southie Micks 7 6 1 .536 2
Gary Pankake 7 6 1 .536 2
2 crocs and a cock 7 6 1 .536 2
The Tittsburgh Feelers 7 7 0 .500 2.5
Big Dogs 7 7 0 .500 2.5
Dirt City 7 7 0 .500 2.5
Fighting Piglets 5 8 1 .393 4
Bakkes Beasts 3 10 1 .250 6

Fortunately getting nothing from AP and my WRs this week did not cost me a shot at the playoffs. Lost in the title game last year and every owner goes fishing at Mille Lacs the weekend between the A/NFCCGs and the SB, so a lot of talk entails that weekend.
