Re: NFL 2009 (or, in Super Bowl nomenclature, MMIX)

The refs blowing the whistle on the INT off of Whitten’s foot that denied NYG a defensive TD also denied me a FF win. :p

Ouch.

I need 12 points tonight out of Ronnie Brown, Dallas Clark and the Indy defense.

Re: NFL 2009 (or, in Super Bowl nomenclature, MMIX)

i need a colts cover to go 10-6 this week and regain some dignity lost with my 5-11 opener :(

Re: NFL 2009 (or, in Super Bowl nomenclature, MMIX)

I need Addai and Pierre Garcon to outscore Wayne by 9 for a tie, 10 to win. It's a long shot, but hey, even the losers get lucky sometimes.

Re: NFL 2009 (or, in Super Bowl nomenclature, MMIX)

As long as Addai doesn't get more than 40 points, I've already got this week won.:p

Re: NFL 2009 (or, in Super Bowl nomenclature, MMIX)

This announcing group is not only the best ESPN has given us (if you don't count those one or two games they put Vermeil and Jaws together a few seasons ago), but getting rid of the guest-in-the-booth interview during the second quarter was a huge plus. I used to dread that every week.

That's crap - that was an INT. He clutched the ball tight with no movement until after his knee hit the ground. They can't even get it right with instant replay.

Re: NFL 2009 (or, in Super Bowl nomenclature, MMIX)

I like the blown call, as I have Indy -3.5/over 42. ;)

Les besoins de Pierre d'obtenir un atterrissage. Fait ainsi Addai. Wayne devrait brûler dans l'enfer. :)

Edit: mistake. I just took Indy to win, and the over.

if you get hit in the backfield on a wildcat formation, is that a sack?

Re: NFL 2009 (or, in Super Bowl nomenclature, MMIX)

Wow. That was some Patriots-level ****-poor tackling, there.

Depending on your league, Brown was probably well over that all by himself in the first half. (He's on my bench this week but I already won.)

And just like that. Wow. Miami is now looking lost.

And too little, too late with Garcon scoring. Still need a rush td, with 100+ yards, from Addai, or 150+ yards and another TD from Garcon. Blech.

Oakland last week and Miami this week made the same mistake Rorschach made early in his career: they let their opponents live.

Clark put me over on the first play of the game.

If only Miami had held onto the running back at the 5-yard line to let Manning throw for a TD...

I needed him to get 300 yards and 3 TD's to win. He got 300 yards and 2 TD's.
