Pssst Al, you couldn't get get Madden in the scoreboard because there is not enough room.

Dear Brent,

When you're playing for a national title, it's a playoff game not a regular season game. But thank you for the link none the less. It was very sweet of you.

I know that. I was just providing info on why Mt Union is sorta known. And despite it not being regular season, they actually do play some quality opponents.

Go back to taunting Jockstrap and Co. It's much more fun. :p

Just watching some highlights and couldn't happen and notice the sea of empty seats Jacksonville, why is there a team there?

Because we need 3 teams in Florida...

Madden sounds heartbroken that BrettFavre came back after he retired with him...

Were you watching the Vikes game? The lower bowl was filled, but the ring of seats just above it were maybe *maybe* half filled.

[whispers] If you win, they will come. [/whispers]

Detroit's been around the league a while and does have a little history. Stupid spot to put an expansion team IMHO.

Madden is morphing into Pat Summerall's twin.

Detroit may have a little history, but they have even less success.

I thought Jacksonville had good attendance in years prior.

How was that a "Sell-out"?

<strike>Uncle Sam</strike> GM must have reached into its deep pockets to pick up the remaining seats.

Back to the game at hand:

I thought the Cowbores were supposed to have a defense and be a playoff-caliber team.

Re: NFL 2009 (or, in Super Bowl nomenclature, MMIX)

I find the Giants' red zone offense to be offensive.

Re: NFL 2009 (or, in Super Bowl nomenclature, MMIX)

It's a good thing they have a reliable kicker, though.

they have been tarping the upper level corners for a while now..

Re: NFL 2009 (or, in Super Bowl nomenclature, MMIX)

So Al Michaels is using attendance from 57 years ago as proof that LA will support a football team?

Re: NFL 2009 (or, in Super Bowl nomenclature, MMIX)

Al Michaels is a *ing moron. If LA wanted football, don't you think there would have been a team there for the past 12 years? Yes, the fact that 50 years ago, 100,000 people came to see a game is clear and concise evidence that Los Angeles will support football in 2009.

You want to know why MNF (and now Sunday night) ratings have been falling for quite some time? It's partly because they keep trotting out this egghead when he's at least 15 years past his prime, and now they put a half-concussed knucklehead next to him. Pat Summerall is on top of his game compared to this boob.

But that interview with Collinsworth from like 25 years ago when he's talking about tricking 14 year olds into boinking him is awesome! :D
