Timberlake is awesome, the only people who hate him are the people who can't admit they like him. The guy rocks and is a total dork. And FWB was funny because it pretty much mocked romantic comedies and you got to see Mila Kunis in all her glory
Brent,
The guy who made Flight 666 is a hardcore Maiden/heavy metal fan. He has another documentary about the entire genre of heavy metal music where he traveled the world to see it in all its forms. Maiden is notoriously closed off so this doc was kind of a big deal and it gives you a nice snapshot of the tour and of the individuals in the band and how they interact. Plus, you get to hear them tear through some old school tunes they hadnt played in decades. It isnt like the Anvil story, this movie is a total celebration.
Speaking of the Anvil movie, every time I think of it I always wonder why if all of these guys today loved Anvil they have done dick to help them out. All it would take was opening for some mid level heavy metal band on a European leg of a tour and that would change all of their lives, yet no one ever does it. Seems odd to me.
Sometimes its better to leave just that much left to the imagination.Wait, did I miss the good parts because the were cut from the version available on the plane? No boobs in the one I saw. I may have to re-watch.
JT is one of those people that is forgivable. You want to hate him, you should hate him, but you can't. He's got talent.
Alpha Dog is what did it for me...I wanted to hate him so bad until I saw him host the ESPYs and Saturday Night Live.
He is really, really good. Very talented and funny as hell.
Absolutely right. The only recent guy who has shocked me more with actually being talented rather than just a completely artificial hype creation is Matt Damon.JT is one of those people that is forgivable. You want to hate him, you should hate him, but you can't. He's got talent.

Watched the first half of The Guard. So far it is laugh out loud funny.
I finally watched Shindler's List. It is simply one of the most powerful movies I have ever seen. Absolutely incredible. I was ironing clothes and watching it at the same time, and for the last 15 minutes I had to quit and sit down, just to take it in.
From June to July 2010 the band went on a headline tour of Europe selling out venues in the UK, Spain, Belgium, Switzerland, Germany and the Netherlands as well as playing festivals in Finland, Sweden, France, Italy and Germany. Lips confirmed on this tour that he had in fact paid back his sister the loan to pay for the production of This is Thirteen.
They released Juggernaut of Justice, their 14th studio album, on May 10, 2011.[22] Lips stated that the band drew from "about 20 songs written".[23]
Following the release of the album the band completed yet more tours in Europe and North America often playing alongside legends Alice Cooper & Saxon. The band released a new greatest hits album Monument of Metal: The Very Best of Anvil. Anvil also started re-releasing their old material starting with Strength of Steel, Pound For Pound and Worth the Weight later that same year.
I liked Ides of March, though I thought it went rather long. Gosling was outstanding as were Hoffman and Giamatti.
BTW I watched the Clooney Inside the Actors Studio...ya know on a lot of movies he makes SAG scale not the outrageous money. Sometimes he gets points on the back end but often times, like I believe Ides of March along with the Descendents and even Goodnight and Good Luck he gets nothing but the scale salary. I love Clooney anyways but that really makes me respect him because he could fetch any price he wants. He even admitted he makes coffee commercials overseas just so he could make the movies he wants for the right price. That is awesome
TCM played 1776, which I think they may do every 7/4. The best "America, Fuck Yeah!" movie ever made, and with great casting.
Rather long? Really? It's about 100 minutes. I actually thought it could have gone a bit longer, if you really wanted to delve. As it was, I thought is was the proper runtime. And from all accounts, Clooney is the rare class act. "From Dusk Till Dawn" sold me on him as an awesome actor.
Agree on Giamatti, thought Gosling was good, but not great.
What I mean is, there were parts that just dragged...scenes that kind of got in the way. Tt may have been 100 minutes but it felt way longer than that.
Part of that also is due to the fact that the ending was pretty much revealed halfway through the movie (not by me guessing just by being obvious as soon as Gosling answers the phone) so you are just sort of waiting for the dominoes to fall. Once you got there, once they are at the funeral and Gosling is talking to Hoffman and so on it feels more natural.
I am not saying it was bad, it was a really good flick I just think it could have flowed a heckuva lot better.
