Re: New/Rented Movies: Now In Smell-O-Rama!

If you hated "Machete" we can't be friends. That movie was thoroughly entertaining in how it embraced its badness.

Another winner has chimed in.

I would amend that to say "If you thought Machete was just 'okay,' then we can't be friends."

Re: New/Rented Movies: Now In Smell-O-Rama!

Henry VI, Part One. (The Beeb's production.)

There's a reason some Shakespeare isn't part of the canon (though personally I like Richard II and Coriolanus). This is not a very good play. Joan of Arc in particular is painful to watch (although in this production the actress was terrific). The temple garden scene with the roses is great pathos, though.

Re: New/Rented Movies: Now In Smell-O-Rama!

I'm boycotting all movies in 3D until we get over this stupid fad. It's giving directors and producers excuses to put out trash. "Yeah, BUT IT'S IN 3D!!!11!1"

RE: Afterlife, The Last Airbender, and all of the stock garbage that's been put out in 3D since Avatar. Terrible movies only allowed to be released because they were in 3D.

Really, it's just an excuse for theaters to charge extra money per ticket. Having sat through two 3D flicks, I don't think the "3D" effect is even that good.

No I need it to get into the Expendables tonight ;)

Of course, why do I care what a bunch of guys on a web site think of my manliness... :p

Ok, with that, we're only going to give you some Double Secret Probation! ;) Just don't mess up anymore, or else Wormer will drop the big one on you!!! :D

After you get done with the kindergarten that is the Expendables, let us know when you want to watch a grownup movie. :p

I don't even know you anymore.

Well I will some day in the future watch it, but this movie does not do enough to make me salivate over its prospects. Seriously, I'd almost rather watch a Wayans brothers mockumentary of vampires than Machete. It's not original, there's no storyline and I can't watch it at a drive-in.

1. Danny Trejo rules.
2. Danny Trejo rules.
3. It's so over the top that movies like From Dusk Till Dawn and Desperado look like G-rated movies.
4. Alba and Rodriguez are incredibly hot in this. And Rodriguez is still hot with an eyepatch. Making a girl with an eyepatch hot is tough to do. ;)
5. Did I mention Danny Trejo?
6. In the first 5 minutes, before the opening credits, you have a double digit body count, gratuitous nudity, lots of action, and bad dialogue.

Oh **** that movie. I'm not going anywhere near it if she's in it...
