New Poll Predictions for 11/30

Re: New Poll Predictions for 11/30

That will be a very telling week for Adrian. Two at Hamline and then one at Oswego in an eight day stretch. The Oswego game is obviously one of the most anticipated games of the year by the collective, but no one is talking about the Hamline series. The Pipers are quite good. 5-1-1 and the road tie at SNC was no joke. That game was even. They are a quick team with good goaltending and quite a bit of finishing talent up front. That should be a very, very interesting (and stylistically entertaining) series, and thankfully it's all of 12 miles from my house. :)

So you're attending the Bloomington Jefferson girls game that day then right?;)

In Adrian we have not forgot about Hamline, that has been viewed as the big series of the regular season all year. Oswego might be the game in the headlines, but Hamline is the all important SOS.

Yes, until someone can prove otherwise. (they might be willing to go to war to prove you aren't).

This is perfect. I hope to implement this theory in the near future as I attempt to annex the entirety of Michigan's Upper Peninsula solely for my own leisurely use.

I totally agree with you with regard to the importance of the Hamline series.
Our track record versus ranked opponents is very limited, and gaining this experience is essential for the growth and developement of this team.
The Oswego game will also be a significant test and I expect it will provide an atmosphere unlike any that we have ever seen.

I disagree however that these games will have any relevance with regard to SOS that would benefit Adrian. I suppose it could enhace our seeding if we were to qualify for the tournament, but until the MCHA becomes more competitive as a conference, AQ will be the only path to the dance.

Unfortunately the atmsophere will most likely be very lackluster with the 1000 students that attend each home game on break.

I'll bet at most 1500 people show up and most of them will be sitting on their hands unless Oswego scores.

Re: New Poll Predictions for 11/30

I know there are a lot of Plattsburgh fans coming down a day early to catch this game...any idea if any of the Adrian fans (or team) will be coming down to Elmira Saturday afternoon to catch a little of that game? Granted I have a team playing in one of the games, but this should be a great weekend of hockey...

Come on Prez...with Me, You, Jimbo, and Tim there....

haha we might be able to have some fun.:D

Im trying to convince Maloney, nysportsfan, and TOPdirectoremeritus to come to atleast the Oswego/Adrian game and maybe even the Elmira/Plattsburgh game too.

Re: New Poll Predictions for 11/30

Not sure, but certainly possible. For all the clutter I'm able to remember sometimes, I'm horrible at recounting poll history.

I often wish we had past polls easily archived because I always need to go look everything up. :)

Yea, why can't they archive the polls? Would it really be that difficult?

I think you'll be surprised my friend. Last year at the Pathfinder, both Laker games had more than 1700 people without any students. I know there are four teams, but it was a 5+ hour drive for Babson and Augsburg and I don't remember a large contingent of fans for either team.

Throw in the fact that the Adrian game will be on a Friday night (when there is nothing to do in Oswego except drink and 7:00 is too early for most) and is, as Mr. Jaslow put it in his SUNYAC preview column, one of the most anticipated D-III games in recent memory and I think you'll see more than 1500, perhaps even 2,000.

Why would I want to watch a hockey game that has my two least favorite teams? :p

You have no reason to dslike Elmira;)

Judging by the attendance so far this year it looks as though there would be anywhere from 1500-1700 or so once you take away the 1000 student crowd.

They do archive the polls...just have to work a little bit to find them. That's where I found the polls referenced in a prior post.

Seriously OZFEST what are you smoking....I don't see any Plattsburgh fans having any kind of a fit that you Lakers are putting up....no wonder you are the Lakers....all these tears you are crying would fill up most any great lakes

And you know what they say what opinions are like....and everyone has one...just some like yours have been worked in a little too much....

Count how many posts Oswego fans are crying about being tied for 1st with Plattsburgh and count how many Plattsburgh fans are crying being tied with Oswego....I bet its about the same number of wins Oswego has over Plattsburgh in the CC....;)

I would , but I can't seem to get past the vines of sour grapes from the game of 11-7-09. The vintage is 'You guys won, but we were better'.
You like yours with 'large ice' I believe. Start counting that.:p
