Be careful missing players is just an excuse as to why you lose or don't win big...

I agree Elmira will be a lot better next semester when they get back to normal roster form...but for now...a 7-2 record, while may be decent, how they got there is somewhat scary. Seeing how everyone likes to just look at goals scored and given up (aka record)...their opponents (take out Oswego) are a combined 16-27-4 of which Fredonia is the only team above .500, a team that just got smoked by Plattsburgh 10-2....I would hope any team ranked in the top 10, let alone #6, would have a record like that against that type of competition....

Since Plattsburgh rewarded those of us that have been stumping for their rightful place at the top of the poll with Friday's third period, I thought I should come back here and say: I told you so! Plattsburgh has no business being tied for #1 - it was clearly Oswego's all along!!!:D

While you might have a point and i think all players should still be able to hadel there own weather out or not. platsburgh had 5 guys back that havent played a game in a while and looked a little tired in the third to me at least not that it is an excusee because you should be able to play through the adversity. just thought i throw that in.

So what you're saying is that having those 5 guys back is the reason why Plattsburgh only tied Potsdam? If those are the same 5 that some Plattsburgh fans on the board have been alluding to and saying they could have been the difference against Norwich and once they were back they'd be even better, that would be quite interesting...

Don't lump all fans of a team together....which excuse did I offer for the tie? All I was trying to do was chomp down on a little crow for the holidays!

I think I'll stay out of the poll discussions for a while if the team's not going to have our backs in those discussion!:cool:

I check in on the forum about once every couple of weeks now. I used to post daily a few years back. I've found better things to do. Basically, without looking too far back in this thread, the last 20 posts or so are the reason why I do not normally participate. Basically, if I was a newbie coming in, this is what I would have learned from this thread:

The games don't matter. We should just hand out the trophies in October.

I'm glad this board is not in charge of NCAA hockey.
