Ncha 11-12

Re: Ncha 11-12

While Point's record is nice...if you look into who they have played so far and the scores in those games, I don't expect River Falls to have too many issues with the Pointers this weekend...

Whoa we agree on something...however I will get villified for my opinion and you will not!

River Falls is definitely the cream of the NCHA this season...Can't wait until a RF-GAC matchup whenever that may be

ah, touche! i didn't think to check that as i was posting from my phone. i am no longer impressed in any way with point's record. those should have all been blowouts for an elite team

I expect fairly easy wins for River Falls :)

My weekend Predictions
Lake Forest sweeps Eau Claire 5-2, 3-1
St Scholastica easily sweeps Finlandia 6-1, 5-1
River Falls sweeps Point 5-1, 6-3
Norberts and Adrian split 1-3, 4-3

Re: Ncha 11-12

those seem like fair predictions... not sure about the scores for CSS vs Finlandia. i feel like those scores will be closer than that

Never question me :) CSS with the 7-1 win tonight.

I was almost right with the River Falls matchup 5-2, off by 1 again.

Lake Forest wins 3-2

Re: Ncha 11-12

yeah yeah yeah... i guess i still have much to learn master :P

I really wonder if Finlandia will ever form a team that is any good. A few years back they were at least competitive, but now they are just awful. It's sad to say in your 8 year existence that the best record you have managed is 7-15-3 (1-12-2 in conference--only win against River Falls :P) in 05-06. In the 6 seasons since, they have mustered 5 conference wins, 2 against Adrian--Adrian's first year, 1 against Eau Claire, and have split with Marian the last two seasons.

Will they ever put the resources into a competitive team, or is this just a title 9--we have to have a team situation? Because women's golf would be much cheaper.

now that there are 7 schools that have teams in the men's NCHA, will the women's NCHA maybe look to get rid of some of those other teams like Fin, Marian, CUW, or Adrian in order to strenghten the conference?

Edit: I just remembered that the Lake Forest men's team is no longer in the NCHA...which makes 6 NCHA men's teams with a women's team :(

I agree, but getting rid of Adrian weakens the league. Maybe 2 divisions with a North/South to cut down on travel? Maybe add Robert Morris? If you get get another Michigan/Illinois team that would help North/South divisions! Remember the East has weak teams too.

Would Adrian be north or south?? lol.

I predicted the weekend results right! Little off on the scores however.

Yes u did pick the results rite. But it was an easy week to pick. I made it up to Superior last week end and enjoyed a burger from Anchor Inn after Saturdays game. I must say it was pretty good! Saturdays game was very sloppy, penalty filled (Adrian vs UWS) and good goaltanding. I thought your Jackets had the game won when it was 2-0! Adrian had the wind sucked rite out of them, until UWS had some questionable penalities. Adrian had some questionable penalties themselves, that game. UWS killed a 5x3, and it 5x4 and I couldn't believe the defense for UWS didn't get changed. 30 seconds later Adrian had a break away and scored burning your tired defense. They lined up for a face off 5x5 and the same Defense is still out there! The puck goes into the Adrian zone then comes out for another break away they score 2-2. Then UWS changes there defense! Lol. From that point on it changed the complextion of the game! That all happened the last 3 minutes of the second period. I was impressed with the talent at UWS. They have 3 very strong defensive players and strong scoring line. If some of there other high scorers can get going from last year, they will be tough. They could give RF a run for there money! RF beat Adrian easily the first game they played them but the second game was evenly played.

Glad to hear your thoughts on the 'Jackets....very jealous of the trip to the Anchor.

Re: Ncha 11-12

I have to do it can't wait anymore.....anyone surprised Adrian doesn't want a new coach already?

Haha well they haven't done too terribly yet. Swept by RF, but that was expected...took 3 pts from Superior, beat the mighty Oswego, split with Norberts...they are still living up to their potential :)
