Ncha 11-12

Re: Ncha 11-12

Depends on how those in front of her are playing. I would rank goalie stats as minutes played, save percent then goals against ave. If she has good D - the 2nd two will be pretty solid.
Morgan brought in two more strong blue liners this season, on top of the group that returns from last year.
I saw the new Swede, Siggelin, play last Sunday and she's a great skater.
Look for SNC to play strong D again this season!!

Re: Ncha 11-12

Thanks, Go Jacket I did mean the Adrian Bulldogs. I thought watch dawg was there fan/supporter. I have intention on watching Gibson play this year. Michelin is solid and I believe there back up is every bit as good!! Thats all I was saying. The Adrian/RF games will be the 2 games to watch this week end! They have good coverage. I will say UWS upgraded there coverage big time! I was real impressed. I think there are to many ?? with UWS to say they are going to sweep this weekend. Then next weekend they have Adrian!

Who is Adrian's backup?

Re: Ncha 11-12

Not sure what you meant about "the new coach". Ninnemann is going into her 6th season as head coach with Point She was also Idalski's assistant for a year. She is still very young, and I believe there is no doubt she will continue to improve. A good example is Joe Cranston, who is now in his 13th year(!), and certainly improved the program over that time. Time flies - enjoy the ride.

Curious about your opinion of the goalies. I have not had the opportunity to see them play yet. Will be there for the RF series on the 18th & 19th. Word is that there will be a good turn out of alumni to support the Pointers as well. Staying on the positive, I'll hold my opinion of Jackets speaking for the West.

Stop by the press box and say hi. Always nice to meet the folks on here. We'll be carrying the game on www.pureradio887.com.

Re: Ncha 11-12

And SNC gives up four straight goals!!!
Enough with the goalie rotation plan...

SNC dominated first two periods. Up 3-1 end of two. SOG were 21-9. They came out completely flat in the third, then the zebra's had their impact. SNC took a couple stupid penalties, but was completely one-sided. All 5 goals for SMU were PPG's or 4x4. SMU won all the battles and races for the puck in the third, and SNC's defense really struggled. Give credit SMU. They didn't quit. Will be interesting to see how SNC responds today against GAC.

GAC crushed them pretty good. Not sure if SNC and GAC played last year, but now SNC knows how GAC plays. Tons of shots from all over the ice and they test your D with a hard FC.

Re: Ncha 11-12

If you haven't checked out the new NCHA web site you should. I think its pretty impressive! The weekly stories are great, and I found out we have an olympian in our league! I'm real impressed with the stat sheet, how you can seperate from forwards and defenseman to see who the leaders are in each. And they are finally keeping track of the +/- like they should!!!

Re: Ncha 11-12

A curiosity question for the Adrian folks. When does Adrian leave for these trips to Superior, River Falls etc. Do they come up on Thursday or do they get up really early and leave Friday morning?

Re: Ncha 11-12

3-2 Adian wins, ugly game lots of time in the box for both teams. hard to watch no flow at all, but it's still a win.

I'd say lookin at the box score...looks like Superior must have had a 5x3 for a long time in the 1st and came up empty...thats not really acceptable. 1/10 on the power play...Laughlin needs to figure something out, because its been that bad for years.

Re: Ncha 11-12

*spoiler alert*-biased opinion...

well i haven't filtered through EVERY box score yet, but it seems that the cream is starting to rise already. from what i can tell, there were a few hard-fought battled in the middle of the pack this weekend. those are gonna be the games that make and break a season for sure. next week will probably be a battle for RF. UWSP has statistically been a battle for us and point is doing well so far this season as well. i'm super stoked to see how everything pans with all things considered

While Point's record is nice...if you look into who they have played so far and the scores in those games, I don't expect River Falls to have too many issues with the Pointers this weekend...
