That should require an immediate refund of the posting fee.

They're already pounding "The Twins Way" into his head!

Re: Minnesota Twins 2014: The Quest for .500

I expect Park to be a high strike out guy, but with great right-hand power. It'll be interesting to see how they make their lineup day-to-day if they sign Park. Park can play 1B apparently as well as DH. Sounds like Sano would be in LF if Park is DH, but that moves Escobar to the bench or platoon.

I think the season would start with Sano, Hicks, Rosario in the OF and go from there. Plouffe, Nunez, Dozier, Mauer/Park in the Infield. Eventually Buxton will be the everyday CF, but it may not be next year.

Makes for a pretty good lineup and protection if guys continue to improve production.

1 Rosario
2 Mauer
3 Dozier
4 Park
5 Sano
6 Plouffe
7 Hicks
8 Nunez
9 Fryer/Hermann/Suzuki

Escobar has to play before Nunez, IMO

1. Rosario LF
2. Escobar SS
3. Dozier 2B
4. Sano 3B
5. Wieters C (Gotta hope)
6. Park DH
7. Hicks RF
8. Mauer 1B
9. Buxton CF

Plouffe gets dealt for a bullpen arm.

I heard Plouffe could be trade bait because he is arbitration elig. this year and next and could hit 8 mm. I had Sano in LF because he is easier to hide there than at 3B. I think he needs some defensive work to be feasible as an everyday 3B.

Re: Minnesota Twins 2014: The Quest for .500

Finally an update of some kind. B H Park headed to Chicago and then Minneapolis to meet with the team. Hope that's a positive indicator.

His agent is in Chicago.

Re: Minnesota Twins 2014: The Quest for .500

Twins give Plouffe 7.25 million for 1 year and avoid arbitration.

We probably need a 2016 thread once ST gets started.

Re: Minnesota Twins 2014: The Quest for .500

Do we? I mean, this was used in 2015 and didn't seem to create a singularity. :D

Re: Minnesota Twins 2014: The Quest for .500

In the Twins case it would be the quest for more spending. Except when they do spend more it's on sh*t players like Nolasco. :/

It's tough to know how to spend money when you never do it.

Re: Minnesota Twins 2014: The Quest for .500

Twins give a minor league contract to Carlos Quentin. He hasn't played since 2014.
