Harvard Crimson 2014-2015: Restoring the Karma

Re: Harvard Crimson 2014-2015: Restoring the Karma

Harvard did recently lose Frederic Foulem (Goalie out of Shattuck) to Major Junior. He was slated to come in either 2016 or 2017.

We have Michael Lackey coming in this Fall, but I would expect Harvard to be pursuing a top flight goalie as a replacement for Foulem.

Not sure who is out there, but wonder in Salisbury goalie (Nick Sorgio) is on the radar. The U-17 NDTP goalies are also potential options. Academics are always a question and not sure how some of these guys align to Harvard on that dimension.

@usahockey: Get your game-worn Team USA jerseys from Men's Worlds through @NHL Auctions! Bid here: http://bit.ly/1cWgQKe

Wanted to pass this on in case any of you are interested. Vesey's game worn jersey is currently listed at $290. Would make a great piece of a collection.

I'm also wondering if Michalek went ahead and asked for another year of eligibility? That plus we really don't know about Madsen. Any word on whether or not McNally and Everson are applying for the eligibility reinstatement and when that decision might come down?

They all have applied for an extra year of eligibility. No timetable for a decision, but all of them want to come back.

Very doubtful that they will be back though I hope I am wrong. Ivy League is generally not very amenable to 5th years regardless of underlying circumstance.

Can confirm this. Minnesota is looking to sign Michalek in the wake of this news. I expect the other two to sign as well.

Too bad. Hurts our chances for the Frozen Four. But the team will still be fun to watch.

Pretty sure he gets auto redshirt for previous year. Playing in 2nd half last season eliminates 2014/15

I hope so, but the Ivy League has a legacy of not granting 5th years for medical related issues. Time will tell I suppose.

Current thought by some Harvard people is Madsen will take the starting gig, I think Lackey will have every chance to come in and make an impact.

In other news, Pat McNally will not be signed by Vancouver, will become a free agent.

From the schedules thread, Harvard is also headed to the Mariucci Classic.

Now we just have to figure out when your Beanpot make-up games are.
