I thought Donnie had settled the Israel-Palestine conflict?

If Trump was still the President, there would still be peace.

(That should shut up the GQP who think Trump is still the legitimate President, why would he allow his peace talks to fail if he wasn't President?)

I'm sure that more disproportionate responses from Israel will take care of the problem. It's only been 70 years of this crap, what are a few dozen more dead civilians at this point?

The leadership on both sides wants this to continue. Their power is rooted in being a bulwark against The vicious Enemy Who Killed Your Daughter. Daughters stop getting killed, those people lose power.

In a hundred years we are going to discover the governments of Syria, Iran, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and Israel were all run by the same four Norwegian dudes as a tax dodge.

And the attempt to shut down criticism.

Well that's always been the case. Truth is the first casualty of war and Israel has considered itself at war continuously since 1948. You don't look to Israel for freedom of expression or honest self-criticism.

An AP tweet (from above):
BREAKING: U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken says he has not seen any Israeli evidence of Hamas operating in a Gaza office building that Israel destroyed in an airstrike.

From the Jerusalem Post:
US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said that he did not see evidence from Israel that Hamas was operating out of the same building as the AP in Gaza, but that it is the job of others to handle intelligence matters.

Now that extra phrase between the two, "but that it is the job of others to handle intelligence matters", is that a paraphrased quote of Blinken by the JP (and by extension omitted by AP, and hence spin one way), or is it an added assumption by JP (to spin the other).

If Hamas was in the building and the AP cast a blind eye, that's bad, and they'd spin. If Israel's intel was bad, oh yeah, they'd spin.

I thought JP was the one that hates Likud?

Or is that Haaretz?

I can't ever keep it straight; however, I'm pretty sure the AP views Bibi as Tel Aviv Trump.

Oh AP is WaPo with better fact checking, I get that.

I was asking about the Israeli news outlets.

NYT must be going insane. On one hand, their readers. On the other hand, that masthead. Yikes.

If only.
