Come Back With Your Shield, Or On It: MSU Spartan Hockey 2010-11

Re: Come Back With Your Shield, Or On It: MSU Spartan Hockey 2010-11

Man if we could just learn how to FINISH, bury our chances, this team has all the pieces to make a run...

Doppleganger-esque. Welcome to Fairbanks. It's suppose to be -40 tonight, but that's still not as cold as our offense.:o By gentleman's handshake, maybe the Coaches should just agree that the first team to score wins the game and we both call it a night. But then again, we might miss a shootout...

Oh man, how bad would THAT be? It is realistic though.

Maybe it's time to turn the reigns over to Renfrew and/or Newton and give them a tryout? I mean, what's to lose at this point?

They might continue in comley's spirit.

And they might not... If either wants the job, they probably shouldn't.

Except the part about "The one thing I look forward to more than anything is walking into the arena every morning." Now that's the spirit. Can't deny the man is dedicated.

The team looks like their dog just died. The coaches seemed to suck the life out of them.

Part of it stems from losing. It's a mystery why the top dog's enthusiasm can't carry the team through an entire weekend. Unless you're in that locker room ...

Watched at home. As was said "they came out so flat in the 3rd". Shouldn't there be motivation other than looking at retirement homes in Florida or Arizona.

Re: Come Back With Your Shield, Or On It: MSU Spartan Hockey 2010-11

No better way to say it.
How can a team come out of a second intermission so unprepared? How can you, when you're trying to salvage a home series, some dignity - something out of the SEASON - and get schooled in the neutral zone, get outshot 16-7 even with a 6 man-minutes of power play - and worst of all look like you don't even want this game?

Seriously, you gonna blame it on 19 guys in skates?

Who said this!!!

We actually deleted our DVR of this. Couldn't even bear to watch the 4-1 lead being built.

Whoever that was must be fairly astute and well-read. In short - he has his finger on the pulse of things. ;)

Outdoor scrimmage as a liesure activity.
