Have to agree, logged on this morning, got the news, figured by now their would be plenty of good comments, all I see is crap about B and E. C'mon I expect more from you guys:D

I'm an attorney. I am posting with my thoughts of what will happen in the courtroom and the defense team's strategy. Of course you attack the credibility of the witness. I am not saying she doesn't have credibility: I am pointing out weaknesses in the prosecution's case. On the breaking and entering charge only.

There's nothing more to it than that, regardless of your desire to paint people in a negative light, whenever you can.

In that case, her credibility is not in question at all. All that's in question is her state of mind when she opened the door. If she legitimately thought she was required to, there isn't an issue. If she didn't and later claimed she thought she did, there is an issue. Enough about this.

I'm not saying it isn't breaking and entering! I'm saying that the burden of proof will probably lead to an acquittal on it if this goes to trial. I'm willing to put ten dollars that on B+E Trivino won't be found guilty. Give me some odds, guys. Put your money where your non legally educated mouths are.

This argument over whether or not she thought she "had" to open the door is pointless. I used to be an RA at BU as well, and I did plenty of things to help my residents that I didn't "have" to do. Maybe she thought she could convince him to calm down and go back to his own room instead of staying inside and calling other RAs/security to help, an act that would have at least led to a sanction from the residence hall and possibly dismissal from the team given his prior warnings. Sounds like she tried to keep him out of trouble and instead he forced his way into her room. Who cares who physically opened the door? FFS...

Didn't say dismissed. Said acquitted at trial. I still win if he pleads down to something else to avoid trial. I doubt the DA would let go of any chits of leverage.

Edit: If you're down, I accept your bet if you accept the term not found guilty of B+E at trial.

i don't care if they go to jail. get probation. get a record.

i don't care what authorities can prove. i care what they know.

i don't want my school to have an association with student/athletes that behave in this fashion.
i am not willing to support a team or a school (with my money through substantial donations and tickets) what finds this behavior acceptable.

and by 'finds acceptable' i mean allows to happen, and when it does claim that it is a single action and not representative of the entire program.

perception is reality.

instead of the school now finding out if nicastro did rape a girl, they should be trying to find out if the stories posted to the bhb last night were based in truth. the parent about his daughter and the gf of a former player.

i can safely assume that the players room together and are in close quarters in the dorms, yes? is anyone going to sit and guess that other players weren't in trivino's (or nicastro's) company on both nights? if the T's stories are true, that they weren't together in groups as well? that there wasn't "help to keep this from happening [as some have brought up as a reason to replace the captains] because it has become systematic behavior by those that may be exhibiting it?

brown's office should have been investigating this back in december. they will probably start it now, but it's too late.

As far as the team goes, I think there is something to be said for "we're all in this together". If a player is out of control, his teammates need to elevate it. BU should waive an invite to the NCAA's this year to teach these kids that there's consequences to bad behavior.

That is too far over the top. You cannot hold all persons responsible for the actions of an individual. Most of these players have worked hard for years and have done nothing like this to lose a once in a career chance to play in the tourney. Punish those who deserve it for sure, not those who don't.

I do what I can. Through all of this, I don't think you'll find any posts from me lumping BU fans together in generalities or attacking Parker/the administration, etc. Whatever.

Its amusing to me the same lame BC posters on here that defended Pat Eaves near death collision with Exter are now trying to throw the entire BU team under the bus....lololol. Got sanity ?

Glad to see the Northeastern people have had the good sense to stay out of this and are smart enough to know that this situation is about an unfolding human tragedy, and not institutional or athletic rivalries. Some of the gratuitous comments from the upper end of Comm. Ave. have been sophomoric, at best. The facts and circumstances about who did what to whom and who knew what when will come out in due course. Until then, it's just premature for anyone on either side to sit in judgment.

Congrats on winning dumbest post. Bringing up a tragic, accidental on-ice collision and trying to compare it to an alleged rape. Ya, that makes sense! And what BC fan(s) has tried throwing the entire BU team under the bus? Go back into your hole.
