Boston University Offseason Thread 2: Moving Forward by Booting Forwards

Re: Boston University Offseason Thread 2: Moving Forward by Booting Forwards

This really irked me:
The injury he suffered during the season only complicates the problem for Trivino as he would love to get in a real game situation as soon as possible. “Coming back from an injury I really want to get some exhibition games in because I haven’t played a game since February.”

If he cared so much about coming back from his injury, playing for BU, and getting in a "real game situation", then maybe he wouldn't have broken the rules that led to a suspension for the early part of the season.

Justin Courtnall tied for third in scoring with four points (G,3A) in four games at Chicago's prospect camp this weekend. He also had one fight.

Interesting, since Courtnall was a Tampa Bay draft choice and attended a few Lightening dev. camps. BU has a bunch of Blackhawk connections--Ron Anderson, Mark Kelley (Jack's son) and Rocky Wirtz, who spent two years as a BU undergrad.

Another Trivino update, including some comments on his suspension.

Funny, Jimmy Hayes got in a fight as well. Wonder if this was the same fight...

It was not. Courtnall tangled on Saturday with Sena Acolatse of the Saskatoon Blades. Hayes locked up with Rob Flick of Mississauga St. Michael's today.

4 more points than he got last year. Interesting.

Only 2 or 3 games? I wonder if Parker told him that. I expected longer.

Also, good to see a reference to increased strength.

We know where all the BU people are staying in 2014. JHG and candycanes. :D

Re: Boston University Offseason Thread 2: Moving Forward by Booting Forwards

Random question for someone in the know (Scarlet, Rogie, FL, et al)

So since the original GLI schedule was BU in 2010, and BC in 2011, and BC did not move a year forward when BU opted to play in two other tournaments this year (CC apparently took our spot). Are we to expect BC will remain in there 2011 slot, or will both BU and BC shift back one year, meaning BU would go there in 2011 and BC in 2012?

I would expect BC to stay there in 2011 and BU to either go in 2012 or not at all. But that's just my guess. No inside info.

Yeah, 4 years from now is a long ways off, can't say where I'll be living then, but I definitely know I'll be going back for that. And if I am still around, you're all invited. :)

I'm sure Hotel Hammer will be a busy place for the 2013 FF in Pittsburgh. Might as well start prepping FL's room for him now...
