Re: Boston University Offseason Thread 2: Moving Forward by Booting Forwards

That clearly is him guessing
Not info from DW or anyone associatedd with Bruins
No one has ever told Fluto that those were DW's intentions

In fairness it would not surprise me and with the right season, could see it hapPppening

Hey Fed, are you aware of the clearinghouse issue with one of the recruits.

Is there really an issue with one of the Freshman? I would think, if this is true, it is one of the more recent commits, as recruits who were in the system well beforehand would have been through clearing house already. Any insight as to if this is true and who it may be?

FL, along the lines above, ran into a buddy at the rink in Burlington (ex Terrier player) that mentioned its better than 50% one of last year's freshmen is not coming back.
Have you heard any rumors to that effect?

oh boy, that would not be great (more so depending on who it is). Any ideas who, if not actual player(s), then what positions for either the possible non returning player and the incoming recruit having clearing house issues? :(

From what I was told both are forwards. Its rumor so don't want to say more. Hopefully it will turn out wrong and both guys will be on campus in Sept.

Agreed, it would have been better if it were one forward and one d instead of two forwards, but as you said, it's a rumor, so perhaps there is nothing to worry about anyway....:)

I wonder if the current player who is thinking of leaving is the same one who was furious that Parker didn't take action against one of the this year's captains even though he was drinking alongside Saporani.

The incoming player who is having clearing house issues is at best a one and done player. Parker would be better off cutting ties and getting a player who will not be having classroom issues but Parker's the master of manipulating the system to get even the worse "students" through one season before everything falls apart.

It sounds like Chiasson better leave BU before he gets benched by Parker for sticking up for his friend and calling out one of Parker's untouchable favorites.

Did I miss something in the link? Where does it say Chiasson is sticking up for a friend and is unhappy with Parker?

Also, I agree that Parker is the master manipulator when it comes to getting kids in to BU who shouldn't be and aren't living up to the "student" part in student-athlete. What happened with Dan LaCouture was a disgrace to Boston University, as well as, college athletics.

Also, I agree that pretty much every coach in pretty much every sport at pretty much every school is the master manipulator when it comes to getting kids in to his/her school who shouldn't be and aren't living up to the "student" part in student-athlete.

Haven't seen this mentioned yet, but VDG signed with BU West.

The story Parker made up for Dan LaCouture doesn't get any more pathetic than that. LaCouture may be the only person in the history of college athletics to make it through two semesters without earning a single passing grade in any class. Kudos to Parker's creativity in coming up with that story.

Hardly the first time Noreaster has blown way off course into the Land of Unreality & Fiction.

Rosen and Trivino are in Islanders development camp this week. Isles generally invite a number of undrafted players from the region. Camp roster is loaded with NCAA players.

You're not very familiar with the NCAA rules regarding academic eligibility, are you?
