He was a native of Brookline and a combat Marine in World War II. His son Steve skated for BU from 1979-1981. More details later on the blog.

sat across from him both nights in DC. he was incredibly proud and incredibly happy. i was glad we were able to shake hands and congratulate each other that weekend. first on the success to date, then again on the success that night.:)
