Boston College Women's Hockey 2010-2011: Schaus In Da Haus

Re: Boston College Women's Hockey 2010-2011: Schaus In Da Haus

8 minutes remaining and BC leads Quinny 3-1. Scoring across the board for BC as they continue to display balance across all lines.

Re: Boston College Women's Hockey 2010-2011: Schaus In Da Haus

should have said "remaining in the 2nd period". After 2 periods, BC leads 3 - 2.

Almost made the trip today... got finished early and was thinking about seeing if Joe wanted to go down.

Glad I didn't... a tie :confused::(

Boys. Let's not give up the ship just yet. Quinny is a top 15 team. In particular, they have one very strong line that seemed to take advantage of the Eagles on the Power Play. Two of QU's goals were on the power play. Wonder if the BC coaches were aware of this and if anything could have been done to prevent it.
BC continues to get decent scoring across all lines. One area of particular disappointment has been the power play over the past two games. BC had many opportunities to put the game away against QU while on the power play and did not convert. Thus a tie versus a win. Think some tweaking along the blue line for the PP will make a big difference in tight games like this one down the line. Still undefeated and hopefully a better total effort on Sunday versus Brown.

Fixed your post.

I agree that Quinny is legit this year. Still... ugh.

Gonna need the girls to step it up today and put a hurtin' on Brown to help me get over men's hockey and football this weekend. Even so, I mean... Brown... lol

Brown has picked up some interesting players this year. Might be a suprising game....;)

Anyone have any insight as to why the Gametracker is not available nor is the score being provided to Hockey East Online? We've sort of been beat into submission that games are no long fed over the internet; although most other programs seem to be able to provide such a service. Is it that difficult to provide a feed of stats.

Maybe it is a Providence thing because neither of the PC games were available through gametracker this weekend. It was very frustrating. However, go to Help (on gametracker) and you can send an email regarding issues. Hopefully if they hear enough complaints something will be done. At least it will help with getting rid of some of the frustration.

Heard that BC defeated Brown 5 - 2. Since modern technology has abandoned Chestnut Hill, need to keep in mind that the report was second hand, but generally reliable.

Well, according to the Brown website, that would be correct. ;)

Excellent reasoning.

BC looked good out there. I think the defense needs some work, but they played pretty well and kept the puck in the Brown end for long stretches of the game. The first BC goal was pretty much a fluky goal as was the first Brown one.

Vell - While on campus, perhaps you could do several of us a favor and investigate why Gametracker and other forms of electronic updates (maybe video some day!) were not in use for BC and several other schools this weekend. Could it be as simple as someone forgetting to hit the "On" button?

Be still my heart. Tell me that's true, because it's been a problem for BC for as long as I've been following the team.

Looks like Walczyk is going to do exactly what I said was needed in the pre-season thread, step up with a Thunstrom-level of productivity. Awesome.

Now, I just need to get to a game. :(

Re: Boston College Women's Hockey 2010-2011: Schaus In Da Haus

She was on the roster for Sunday's game. She didn't dress for it because she played in the alumni game that morning as they only had one goalie.

Re: Boston College Women's Hockey 2010-2011: Schaus In Da Haus

Two seniors on the roster, one being a returning Olympian. Smart move on her part.

Why would that be a good reason.?. Would you not want to be part of a strong team that has a chance to go deep ?.

IMHO the only good reasons redshirt a year is either cause you are hurt, or cause academics require it (either grades/conflicts or sometimes being a semester away from school like an exchange abroad).
