Less than 48 hours to the opening of the BC regular season against Colgate. Given that BC handled Colgate last year and have some decent new recruits and have 2 returning Olympians, it would seem BC is the choice in this one. BC will need to jump on things early and carry the play the full 60 minutes. High expectations for the team means no flubs early in the season. Go Eagles.

I expect big things & to see (well, not see, but, y'know, hear about) a fired up BC team start the year strong. Let's see a couple of goals for Stack, freshmen getting involved, and a first win of '10-'11 for Schaus.

I got an update from Big Stooch out in NY about a half hour ago... it was 1-0 BC after 1, The freshman, Walzyk, with the goal (unassisted).

Sweet.

you can pick the game up on all access at Colgate site---- B.C. Looking good-Schaus having a very good game in Net. B.C. scored on a power play- Power Play looks SHARP!!!! very good movement!

I'll be visiting Chestnut Hill on the 24th. It will be like a trip down nostalgia lane, as I used to frequent the area annually many moons ago.

Close game tonight between BC and Colgate; even though the final score may indicate otherwise. BC led 1 -0 going into the third and Colgate had multiple odd man and breakaway opportunities throughout the game but were unable to convert as they were denied by Schaus in goal. In addition to Schaus, BC freshman really stole the show this game; both on offense and defense as they accounted for 3 of the 4 goals. Bizzare (2), Walzyk (1) and Brown (1). In particular Bizzare found a home in front of the net and was able to punch two home. Great to get off to a good start. Game against Syracuse on Saturday should be a bit tougher match and require the Eagles to further elevate their game.

Thunstrom gets a goal and an assist for the Whitecaps in 3-2 exhibition loss to Gophers. She played great, fun to watch.
