Wow I wish I'd known. Nice job putting that on the schedule BC!
Nice to see them pick up a win. How good is Windsor?
If you are referring to the Windsor Lancers, they are a middle of the pack OUA team (CIS Canadian College Hockey, the Ontario League). That is roughly equivalent to a top end D3 or bottom end D1 program.
OnMAA, help me with my ignorance.....other than McGill, which other CIS schools could seriously compete in NCAA D-1?
It has been a few years since I last saw the Pandas, but I'd say that there is a considerable gap between Alberta and Manitoba.Laurier Hawks, Alberta Panda's, Manitoba Bisons.

Nah, I'm not that invested. I saw Alberta play SLU 5 years ago when the Saints were a perennial Frozen 4 team, and the Pandas were able to play with them. Not beat them, but contest the game throughout. Manitoba wasn't able to compete to the same extent yesterday against Minnesota in terms of 1-on-1 battles. It is possible that Manitoba was missing key players or worn down; Alberta may have regressed from when I saw them; or the NCAA could have advanced more than CIS over that time. Although Manitoba won a shootout tie from SCSU the day before, they were badly outshot by a Husky team that figures to be largely devoid of offense early on. The Bison's starting goalie did play very well early yesterday, so maybe she keeps them in a lot of games. You may want to hone up on recent data then.
Apologies to BC fans, but w/o Tony and Joe around all the time, this thread has been far too on topic. That said, I promise this will be my last post on this tangent.Nah, I'm not that invested. So, was that the only preseason game scheduled this year?
Does anyone have information on why Dru Burns and Corrine Boyles were the only ones not dressed in the game?
I wonder if Boyles is actually going to redshirt this year. She told me in sociology class last year that she was and then I thought I heard otherwise somewhere.

Thanks for the info!I was with Boyles at the Strelow camp and she told me that she was going to red shirt.
This has the potential to be the best BCWH team we've ever had. They just need to play up to their potential, which, for the last 2 or 3 years, has really been the problem I think.Last year, my several posts focused on the hardships BC encountered due to a rather young team and the absence of both Stack and Schaus to the Olympics. The end result was a disappointing record and early exit from the Hockey East playoffs. That was last year and no longer make that arguement. Seems many have BC rated highly this year and thus expectations for a more experienced and skilled team are in order. Don't have a precise number of wins that would differentiate between a positive or negative season, but it is about 20 and finishing no lower than 2nd in Hockey East regular season. Seems that every other year the Eagles play their way into the NCAA's so this is their time. Go Eagles.
Are you the same person who said Burns would be "one of the best players in the country" last year?so is Burns redshirting too..that would be a huge disappointment and loss to the team
