Re: Boston College Hockey, Part II

hey guys im new to this forum and this has nothing to do with that long-winded argument about who's the best team in hockey east..... bc is in my opinion but the beauty of the playoffs is every team gets to play it out (cept providence and n'eastern but they had 27 chances to qualify)

anyways......... i was wondering if anyone knew what happend when brian o'hanley got kicked off the team and brett motherwell got suspended and signed with syracuse the next week after the first game of the 07-08 season?????

Prepare to be hammered for even asking that question, but I don't think there was ever an answer. I heard a couple rumors, but don't think it's appropriate to post them.

The correct answer is that BC won the National Championship.

but he prefaced it by saying he was fairly new to the forum so he shouldnt be hammered IMO..............i also am relatively new and just wondered why he WOULD be hammered? i dont beleive this subject(o'hanley and motherwell) has been brought up since i joined the forum and dont care to know about the details because of the glorious ending to 2008. I believe in "what happens in vegas stays in vegas" , just wondered about the hammering thing and why........

Re: Boston College Hockey, Part II

Oh I wasn't even saying he should be hammered, just that he might be for bringing up anything negative related to the team or program. Some posters take great exception to that...

Re: Boston College Hockey, Part II

i never meant to offend anyone.... i was cleaning my room the other day and saw a program for the 2008 season with o'hanley on the cover and got to thinking is all it was..... and since ive been reaading u guys on this thread u seem to have an inside source or two about things i dont find out about until gametime...... i agree it was wayyyyy in the past and we won the national championship anyway so u'r right who cares???.... i guess my curiosity got the best of me cuz u rarely, if ever, see something like that happen at bc.

on a brighter note, im glad we got umass in the first round of the playoffs because the wins will help the pairwise, unlike if we had gotten merrimack.

i would have preferred Merrimack but c'est la vie.:) if we play well, we'll win no matter who is between the pipes.............i thought milner but now i'm leaning towards jerry putting muse in the first game, at least.......

Officially... they were suspended for breaking team rules.

Re: Boston College Hockey, Part II

thanks for the welcome sterlippo, i appreciate it.

i'd imagine we'll see both goalies this weekend.... i see muse starting game 1 tho to try and get the first win and take some pressure off millner for saturday..... nothing would surprise me tho and jerry york is certainly not afraid to do unorthodox things with his goaltenders thru the years.

Re: Boston College Hockey, Part II

and to superfan11, welcome.........we need more Eagle fans in the forum, IMO

Agree wholeheartedly. And FWIW I've always wanted more of the back story as to why Jim O'Brien left and went to Ohio State.:D Hammer, Hammer, Hammer!!!

his leaving really fired up Bob Ryan, didn't it?!? :p

Re: Boston College Hockey, Part II

While we're bringing up people leaving, how 'bout that Coach Jags getting fired just for interviewing with an NFL team? :D
