A couple things on that hit...
1) I didn't see any head contact. Looked like he got him in the chest with a legal hit.
2) Neither ref put their arm in the air at ANY point. It's getting to the point now in college hockey where even if someone lays a clean check, if the other person is the least bit shaken up, the refs have to get together and come up with a call.
3) After all that, I was expecting maybe a two minute penalty for charging...five minutes and a game? ***? In the first period no less of a scoreless game. With another BC penalty on the same play, that type of decision could have had a major impact on the game. I just don't understand what these refs see sometimes.
Nice to see Samuelsson pot a couple. Now has a 3-8-11 line in 25 games. Last year, in 42 games, he had a 1-13-14 line. If you project out over 42 games, he's on pace for 5-13-18. Not bad at all for someone we were told incessantly had no offensive game
