Pretty much does the same thing when he is lugging the puck, Needs to develop some moves and a better handle, shooting from the wing above the dots is not going to score many goals.

I think he has some moves as we saw in his Beanpot goal last year and even last night he made a nice self pass off the boards and blew by his man. What I wanna see is him getting in better scoring areas.

Re: Boston College Hockey 2010-2011, Part II - We Still Have Jerry York. Sorry, Every

1) I didn't see any head contact. Looked like he got him in the chest with a legal hit.
2) Neither ref put their arm in the air at ANY point. It's getting to the point now in college hockey where even if someone lays a clean check, if the other person is the least bit shaken up, the refs have to get together and come up with a call.
1) From where I was sitting (MM) it was blatantly obvious he got him in the head. I was pretty shocked to hear the BS chant.
2) One of the refs already had his arm in the air because of the tripping penalty that occurred seconds before.

BC looked really good. I thought Dainton played a hell of a game. I've never said that about a goalie who got chased after giving up 4 goals, but some of the saves he came up with were spectacular. BC could have easily had 5 in the first period, never mind the game.

Not that I'm a coach or trying to be funny, but if he lights it up when he drives the net, wouldn't it make sense for someone to advise him of that fact?? :)
Ya think? ;)
I've been advising it all season right here on this thread... and no one's listening. :D

He has such great speed and moves, can turn on a dime, from 0 to 50 in 2 strides... and we've seen him make those moves on d-men last season and take the puck to the net. Was very successful doing it. Personally, I don't get it (why he has gotten away from that style of game), because he's so dang good at it.

Hmm well he had to without Cross, no?

Before Cross was out it was shifted, I think I threw out the line sheet but I know Dumoulin & Alber were separated.

Alber had one heck of a nice rush up the ice last night. He was definitely missed while he was out.

Ha I was in LL and didn't see it that way at all. We'll agree to disagree. I'd have to see a replay.

Good point about the ref, but whoever was closer didn't make a call.

I would like to let everyoneeeee know that Miss TonyTheTiger20 will soon be Mrs. TonyTheTiger20. We got engaged today!

That explains the decrease in posting....

Well Tony it was nice to meet you on here. Good luck with your future, be sure to check in once a year or so. Or you could always check in while you are sneaking porn of the internet, leave the USCHO site up on your browser in case you get caught. Of course if she finds you stairing at the USCHO fan forum with your pants around your ankles you will be in trouble, maybe more so then if she catches you with Jenna Jameson.

I was in MM too. He definitely didn't get him in the head. It was a terrible call. If Cross hit him in the head with that hit, he wouldn't have gotten up to say the least. That was a ridiculous hit, he would have knocked him out cold if he hit him in the head.

I am really getting a kick out of the twit in the front row behind the net that Maine is shooting at. This guy jumps 4 feet in the air every time Maine scores a goal like it's OT in the national title game.
Carmine:

Have to be honest - apparently the BC players would spend some time laughing at and rewinding and laughing at and rewinding our reactions from behind the goals during film sessions.

We were a little ridiculous.

Alber had a difficult night. Several mishandlings in the defensive zone led to turnovers. Very tentative wih the puck. Unusual for him.

BTW, Muse now leads the conference in GAA and has tied DiGirolamo in save percentage (league games only)

What's stairing? Probably some new exercise all those kids are doing.

One of these things is not like the others...

One of these things is not like the others...

and now, a lesson on perspective.... isn't it amazing how 2.5 journalists can see the same play differently, no?

The Eagles thought they'd tied the game at 17:53, when Pat Mullane, slashing down the right wing, ripped a shot that Millan stopped but dropped. Jimmy Hayes, crashing the net, appeared to have pushed the puck over the goal line. The on-ice officials, however, ruled Millan kept it out. Video replay wasn't conclusive, and the on-ice call was upheld.

At the end of the period, it took a video review to prove that Millan denied Hayes again, apparently with an inch or two to spare on the goal line.

The final scoring chance of the frame was the most controversial as Pat Mullane broke in alone for BC and fired a low shot on Millan. The original shot was saved but it appeared the rebound might have crossed the goal line momentarily. The video replay from most angles was inconclusive, and the call on the ice — no goal — ultimately stood, sending BU to the third nursing a one-goal lead

The first quote was ESPN.com's Brion O'Connor and the third was USCHO's Jim Connelly. I will let you guess where the 2nd one came from

Don't forget - come to Conte tonight to see the BC women beat BU in the women's Beanpot at 8. Gallery should be added to recap shortly then I get to take a nap before heading to Conte for first game. Just waiting for a few more to upload (captions will get added at some later time).

shocking, a goal was scored vs. BU that didn't count, seems to happen every other week with HEA officials.
