BC Women's Hockey, 2015-2016: Embrace The Cupcake Diet

Re: BC Women's Hockey, 2015-2016: Embrace The Cupcake Diet

Carpenter's goal was a nice shot but you're giving her a bit more credit for faking out Chuli because the play as you described it did not occur. Carp took a shot, it hit the D in the leg, and the puck went right back to Carp. She then took a quick 2nd shot and that one got by Chuli. Check out the video at the 1:10 mark for the goal in question.

Yes, you're right. Sorry. I couldn't understand how she could fake it quite so well.

In fairness to Whyte, it took me like 10 views of the live replay to figure out what happened. Whyte was there in person.

Impressive goal by Knutson (#3) of Connecticut. That was one heck of a wrist shot.

Re: BC Women's Hockey, 2015-2016: Embrace The Cupcake Diet

SIGH "Only one team in women’s hockey history has completed a perfect season. Minnesota went 41-0-0 in 2013. "

WRONG. If the writer wants to say this, fine, but it needs clarification (ie in NCAA history.) UNH had several perfect seasons, although it seems they are unmemorable outside of NH.

Memorable by some outside of NH. I've posted this fact a few times in the past. NH not only had three undefeated seasons, they also have the record for the longest undefeated streak, 73 games if memory serves me correctly. It seems like some have only short memories, while others claim that old stuff does not count. On the contrary, if it was not for those trailblazers from the 60's and 70's, the game would not be where it is today. And DC, I count you as one of those trailblazers. !!!!

BC up 2-0 in the first five minutes. A pp goal on a one-timer from Skarupa off a beautiful pass by Carpenter. Skarupa then returned the favor a few minutes later and Carpetner got a sweet one-timer from the slot.

Shutout in the Hockey East Championship final. Nuff said.

Some links: the American Sports Net final preview: http://americansportsnet.com/boston-colleges-alex-carpenter-rewriting-everyones-record-books/ featuring some winning self-deprecation from Skarupa:

Skarupa is Pippen to Jordan, Messier to Gretzky, Robin to Batman.

“Don’t forget we have Kenzie (Kent, a sophomore) on the line,” Skarupa says, “so any nicknames have to be for the line. Right now it’s just ‘Carp line, go.’”

“She makes the game easier and when you’re playing with her you have to concentrate on not getting caught up watching her because she does some special things on the ice.”

Also some great sightings of #carpface:

Re: BC Women's Hockey, 2015-2016: Embrace The Cupcake Diet

bc's job just got a bit harder. Potentially they will need to win 3 games against some good teams. They know NU well and will almost assuredly get by them, then the winner of Clarkson/QU, and getting by them, a matchup with Wisconsin or Minnesota unless something crazy happens to either of them in the quarters.

Re: BC Women's Hockey, 2015-2016: Embrace The Cupcake Diet

I'm putting this on the BC thread because TTT20 always gets the most exposure....:D Am I way to sensitive that when I go to NCAA.com, and look for the women's FF info, all I get is A) the current 1/4 match-ups, and B) info on the men's tourney? NO where did I find anything on the women's tourney? If you scroll down to the bottom, and click on Frozen Four 2016, you get only the men's info....yes, I am I T challenged, so make it that much easier, not harder to find any info.....just saying.....btw TTT20, congrats!

Yeah they don't seem to give very much love to the non-revenue sports on the front page. To get to the WIH stuff you have to go sports > ice hockey > W

Here's the direct link: http://www.ncaa.com/sports/icehockey-women/nc
btw TTT20, congrats!
THANK YOU WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

TTT20, go to that link, and on he right side of the page is the emblem and a place to get tickets....click on that and see what happens....it truly is embarrassing! And the info page at UNH is not substantially better but that's UNH marketing....

Heh, well, you have to filter by sport and then it shows up -- http://www.unhwildcats.com/news/2015/12/17/Tickets_1217151253.aspx
We have two teams of destiny, the unstoppable force meets the immovable object
Personally I want to see Minnesota, it seems like that's our destiny... but BC's all-world O vs. UW's all-world D is pretty damn compelling. haha

I think BCs destiny is to be 40-1 as I predicted a couple-3 months ago, why you want to lose to MN rather than WI is a mystery ;)
