So the DU scenery are the "Orange Faces". The chicks that come to games to socialize, don't pay attention at all, talk on their phones, don't have a clue about the game and leave after the 2nd period to go to the bars? That's something to be proud of.

I heard there is a director's cut of the USA Battle Cry where Donovan scolds the entire team but specifically Kristo about using foul language. He told them that every time they say a bad word, Jesus clubs a baby seal. He then blessed the entire team and they are now going on a World Tour to stop people from tearing the tags off mattresses.

Thats true.

Its also true that Team USA would do the battle cry on the ice every time Kristo would make a pass instead of taking a shot. Unfortunately it never happened.

One would think Saint Donovan would have more assists than goals at the WJC given his selfless nature. One would also think he would have had a greater % of points coming from assists than Kristo. Surprisingly neither of these things are true. I'm trying not to lose faith, but it is very difficult.

So you're saying that Danny is actually an excellent passer? I agree. Not many players can bank a puck off the goalie and directly onto their teammates stick for a tap-in goal.

The tune is close but a little different than "Hail, Purdue".

DU's "Fairest of Colleges" was written almost 100 years ago by Dorothy Hickey, a DU student who graduated in 1916. The song was well used from the 1916 through the late 60s. It was used sporadically from the 70s into 2000s, but really started to pick up again in the last few years as DU has a good job teaching people the tune and words and working the learning of the the song into freshman orientation. When you run into DU alums from the 40s, 50s and 60s, they all know it well.
