I'm just not convinced of his appeal to non-DFL Minnesotans. All of the ones I've talked to (whether MAGA, Country Club Republicans, or Fark Independents) hate his guts. Either way, he'd lock in MN for Harris but I'm not sure she needs that help. And I'd hate to lose him to federal office. He's just such a damn good governor.

I don't think he should be Veep...he adds very little except it probably ends all talk of a Minnesota flip and locks down Wisconsin. I don't think either of those things are a worry in the long run. (yes I know about the polling) I just think he is a great mouthpiece for what the Democratic Party stands for because he says it in a way few can...its instantly relatable. I mean he shredded Vance for being a fraud on Morning Joe almost as good as Pete did on Maher.

I don't think this is him being vetted, I think this is him going out as someone who was a mouthpiece for the Biden campaign still on the stump for Harris. He also speaks for the Dem Governors because I believe he is the head of that group. I know he said he would be Veep if asked but I doubt he really wants the job but he will definitely be one of the people who helps make the decision. I think they want him for something higher in the Party at some point. The way he has handled a 1 seat majority and pushed through one of the best agendas of the modern era of Minnesota Politics has to be the template for the Dems going forward. And while publicly the MNGOP trashes him, a lot of them actually like him because of some of the non-political stuff he does.

Andy Beshear is the same way. So authentic and down-to-earth. Would openly weep on television when announcing Covid deaths back during his daily briefings.
I don’t want to overthink the VP choice. Shapiro or Kelly. Keep it simple.

Tellya what ... you guys really know how to "save democracy". At least three (3) primary cycles in a row now where Bernie (2016), Bernie again (2020) and now Magoo (2024) were ousted by your elites, all while ignoring millions and millions of primary votes to the contrary LOL.
 
These jokes/cartoons are pretty weak sauce. Does the right have anything that even borders on reality based? I don't think I've ever experienced a group of people that were more clueless on how things actually work.
 
I watched Walz on Faux...my god they tried to bait him so badly and all he did was smile and make them look foolish.
