If you're a candidate running on more genocide and shouting over your voters after they literally told you not to do that, you kinda deserve to lose. My one vote in a non-swing state had way less of an effect than drunken wine mom doing that and doubling down on how great this economy supposedly is and pretending that food prices didn't go up 35%. That was certainly a choice lmao.

And The democrats aren't trying to defend democracy when they rig their own primaries and fund the same fascist projects overseas as the republicans. The voters thought there should be a political consequence for committing genocide and weren't just going to further enable the side currently allowing it. It's actually difficult to lose to Trump 2 times in 3 elections but they've perfected the playbook.

Honest question for everyone: Who's going to be the candidate for the left? Bernie is pushing 90 so that's a no. AOC is, as much as we love her, unelectable on a national level. And I honestly can't think of anyone else.
 
It's not a false equivalency when your preferred party and candidates try to win on being 1% different on a single issue than the other side, and then fail for 50 years to do anything about said issue when they have the majorities to do so.

Governor of Pennsylvania, or Michigan work for me. Michigan is a problem cause she's a woman and I doubt this country will ever elect one. Maybe Governor of California too.

I've noticed that all of the announcements TFG has put out refers to him as President Trump. He's not President yet. He's President-elect and he should be referred to as that until the inauguration, right?

Did any of you hear that Melania won't be living in the White House this time?

The world is likely to alter so much coming out of this I don't think we have any sense who would be a good candidate. It may be just as likely to be an entertainer as a politician.

Enough people are unhappy with the status quo that we have this. This hasn't anything to do with Dump. It has to do with what passes for current political-economic structures being so neglectful of the average person that they will try literally anything else.

This isn't a transformative leap to authoritarianism, or to anything. It's a desperate leap from the configurations that are permitted by "serious" politics. A world where adult human beings vote for Dump and RFK Jr. and Jill Stein is a world that no longer works for anybody. This wasn't leaping into a tank marked Sturmabteilung, it was kicking a rotten tree stump in.
