2024 Elections: One Last Chance for Democracy

These are people who don't like mean Tweets or getting cozy with Putin, but are also trained dogs when it comes to foaming over (pick one) taxes/guns/abortions. When push comes to shove, they're gonna vote with their pet issue in mind, even if their candidate is clearly a senile, drooling moron.

And if you believe any of that I have a bridge in Minneapolis to sell you...

I did enjoy that the "Defense Contractor in Southern Arizona" was going to sit it out and is now leaning Republican. Sure thing boss. A War Machine guy near the border was not going to vote and now Trump convinced him. Please.

I am glad the Times printed this though...and not just because it makes them look even dumber than they do normally. A lot of people will see this and get even more motivated and hate them even more. AG better write another editorial about how unfair we are being to the Free Press...maybe this time in Politico!

(not ripping you btw)

Now I almost want to pose as an 'undecided' voter so that I can claim I'm "leaning Harris" after she reassured me, a concerned white male, that she won't be comin' fer muh gunz!

Absolutely not.

Biden wanted to get out when he was VP. He couldn't convince Obama (who fell into the Lyndon B. Johnson trap of not wanting to be a perceived as a President who lost a war, so he upped the engagement -- during the Obama regime, drone attacks were 10x what they were during Bush's time). So, as soon as he became President, he immediately pulled the trigger.

The pullout itself was terribly managed. As someone who actually spent time in Afghanistan as a civilian contractor, I was greatly disappointed how the whole thing was managed. It was rushed without any perceived plan, abandoning most of our individual allies behind to fend for themselves.

(And as for Trump declaring we were getting out, that was true. He was also going to pull the trigger, but he was convinced to change his mind, so he never set anything in motion (other than the ridiculous release of thousands of Taliban prisoners with nothing in return). So, Biden was under no obligation leftover from the previous administration.)

Wrong. Donnie had negotiated a firm withdrawal date. I think it was in March 2021, although I could be off on the month. Biden got that date pushed back a bit, but there was still an official get out of Afghanistan deal that was struck.

I legit fist pumped and yelled "good answer!" like I was watching Family Fued when she said that. I have been waiting over two decades for a Democrat to plainly state that.

I'm really surprised it's being ignored today by the media. I would have at least expected some weird pearl clutching from the right.

Dementia Donnie now threatening to pull ABC's license should he become president again.

Sounds like the night went well for him.

Always willing to do the things that help him and absolutely no one else.

Dump is the Absolute Self. He doesn't perceive anything outside himself. "True" is what benefits him. "Reality" is whatever his whim says right now. He's a baby.

And about 46% of the electorate are so weak they have to pretend he's a leader.

He saw it on TV.

No, we will always have this type of person, and somehow they always show up as "undecideds" on panels < rolls eyes >.

Having a thriving democracy does not mean having no idiots. It means holding them in check. For a long time we did that by each major party having a derp wing, to split them up, but that meant even when the good guys won they had snipers on the fringe. When the Dixiecrats fled to the GOP they all started to line up on the Right, so we suffered through a generation of them having outsized influence. If we can beat them this election, that will be 4 of the last 5 where we beat them all lined up on one side. And their numbers are shrinking every cycle. As much of an ocean of this scum has always been carried by America we are finally starting to see the day where they become an electoral non-factor.

I call bulls**t (not on you but their methodology). She fell/remain tied in every state but 1?

MAGA predictably melting down about Taylor Swift’s endorsement.

Megyn Kelly referred to her and Travis Kelce as “elite snobs”.

Now, Swift? Yeah maybe. Travis though? This guy?

It’s the same. They’re all the same. All within the MOE from each other. Nothing changes. The only undecideds are deciding on whether to show up and vote or not…
