2024 Elections: One Last Chance for Democracy

Trump's bill to force proof of citizenship to vote as part of the spending bill to avoid a shutdown was pulled by Johnson. He doesn't have the votes...and now we are staring at another shutdown.

Just like how Fox News, the most watched news network, is not mainstream.

And just like how Dailywire, holding down 7 of the top 10 most shared links daily on Facebook (at least in 2020), is not mainstream.

Somehow all of these heavily trafficked and watched news sources are "suppressed" by the liberal overlords.
 
And how no one will care what a billionaire (Taylor Swift) thinks about America or the election...they prefer Trump :confused:

That looks like typical Loomer…so, not off the rails, for her. But if you’re MTG, how stupid are you to step on that landmine? The exact right amount of stupid, obviously.
 
So Biden and Harris get massive criticism for 13 Americans who died pulling out of Afghanistan when dumpy started the commitment, but dumpy doesn’t get much flack for 3 Americans who died in Africa when nobody had any idea there were anyone at risk there.

Why the massive imbalance? At least everyone knew we were in one country.
 
One thing I do think people have a legitimate beef over are abandoned cities.

Mind you, I do know that Rs are just making it a lot worse, and dumpy is even worse than that.

But we just spent a night in Dunkirk NY. This is a mid sized city that is clearly dying. There are signs that this was a nice place, but no longer. What are the plans for places like this? These towns are the core of angry people who blame others for their downturn- and they are correct in being angry, just blaming the wrong people. It’s not migrants who took their jobs, it’s the owners who moved the jobs away. But what do we do with all of the people left behind and angry? Who will listen to anyone else who is angry?

Democratic Institutions are the guardrails against Capitalism. They have failed miserably in that regard. There are things government can do to revitalize cities. But, as we saw in Wisconsin with the big Foxconn thing that can be a big con.

Normal variation. The arc is what matters. If I get ambitious I'll throw it in a spreadsheet and do rolling averages. That's why I am doing every 3 days. If 538 was better I'd remove partisan polling because the GOP has been flooding the zone with their BS polling. The Dems have some but they aren't as frequent so the effect is pulling the results right.

To be fair, though, in 2016 and 2020 Dump overperformed the polls, so there is a Secret Nazi Factor.
