This. Realistically they can only gum up things in Ohio and Georgia (and maybe Arizona). And by then Harris could already have enough EVs racked up it wouldn’t matter.

Depends who is on the elections board. If the fasc have stacked them they can do anything they want. The voters in those states have zero power. It is no longer a "republican form of government" as guaranteed by the Constitution. But the stooges on the McConnell Court will allow it.

If it changes the election result, well, that's how you get tanks in the streets. But even that is something the Right wants. They can't win fair elections, so they want to end elections. "A revolution, bloodless if the liberals allow it." It's a coup d'etat. Every Republican will be on board with it. They have zero sense of civic responsibility, they just want power and their party and donors just want to smash and grab.

This has always been the reductio ad absurdum of conservatism, since Reagan. It just took about a half century to get here.

In the Blue Wall States I believe it comes down to the Governor or AG to decide to certify. I don't see Whitmer, Shapiro or Evers going the wrong way on this. I believe AZ is the same as is North Carolina though I'm less sure on them.

Even the GA AG is not very pleased with what the Election Commision did and Democracy Docket is challenging it. There is no guarantee they will be able to stall it out.

The problem is they shot their shot and failed. They lost the power to just take what they want short of a full blown revolution. If they lose the Electoral College but send fake Electors I just have a sneaky suspicion the Veep won't accept them...not sure why. If GA holds off certification but Michigan, WI and Pennsylvania certify and she is over 270 they might as well never certify for all the good it will do. At best all they will do is cause a lowering of the threshold as they get ignored.

We will se though...

North Carolina has all their major positions controlled by Democrats AFAIK.

IIRC, one Wayne County Republican on the elections board refused to certify for some bullshit reason (and it's a 2-2 board for some asinine reason and needed unanimity or something weird.) The rest appealed directly to the state Supreme Court (4-3 Dem) who agreed almost instantly to hear it and Mr. GOP staller had his balls shrivel up inside and backed down.

I thought the NC state leg was a supermajority of Republicans because of the same kind of cheating they used to do in Wisconsin?

If so then their leg can just change the rules.

Kind of running out of time to do that and even GOP friendly courts go against major changes this late in the game.

I think he'd boot him tomorrow but 1)Thiel has him monetarily by the balls and 2) I don't think there is a way to get Vance off and RFK Jr on the ballot as VP (and get RFK Jr off the ballot as President in a bunch of other states). I'd be delighted if he tried though, since I bet the ballot that confused his voters would make Florida 2000's bungling look like a well oiled machine.

It really was. Then they tried to make a bunch of hay out of the poll workers in Detroit who put posterboard up over the windows in the absentee ballot counting room, e.g. "That's when they dumped all the fake ballots for Biden!". Yeah, no they did that because a group of your fcking MAGA a55holes were photographing workers and intimidating them.

Or are they going to try and claim this is a urban form of stolen valor? Like when a white suburbanite around here says they're "from" Detroit, but they've lived their entire life in Grosse Pointe or Royal Oak?
