Feel the same way.
Adrian comes in waves. If someone takes them out, they will have to be able to withstand that. An on-fire goaltender would help. It can be done, but stars will need to align.
SNC led them 3-2 entering the third period in their first meeting this season and then in a blink of an eye it was out of hand.
To elaborate further on the “coming in waves,” in their regular season 2 game series, SNC tied or out scored them in 4 of the 6 periods. That being said, Adrian absolutely earned that sweep. No comment on the NCHA championship game…
Altazo, you surely called that one. The first and the third were even (1-1 and 2-2, respectively)….but Hobart slipped a bit mid-way and Adrian made them pay with a 4-1 second period.
Overall, I don’t think Hobart played poorly. They needed to get hot on the PP and needed their goaltender to play lights out. Neither happened (but, to be clear, I wouldn’t in any way hang that game on Lascelle). Adrian is a very fast, skilled team and their goaltender made some clutch saves when they needed them…they were impressive to watch.
Great season for Hobart, who has a number of very good young players coming back…their future looks good.
